Scaring from the Ferguson Fire. If you look back through my photostream, there is a post titled Ponderosa Bluff. It’s a before picture with a great story behind it. Fire is part of natures way of renewing itself. It may take many years, but if left undisturbed it will replenish.

Yosemite’s Toxic Mobbing Community will continue to leave its scars. Yosemite’s Community Stalking, Workplace Mobbing and Harassment and retaliation continue into 2019.

What is happening in Yosemite is WRONG!

Between breeding and resident ranges, the Northern Mockingbird lives in two-thirds of the U.S. and all of Mexico and Central America. From the time I was a kid until now, I've always had mockingbirds to entertain me. I was once standing with the ranger at the ranch when one of the car alarms went off. But there were only three cars. The fourth, as it turned out, was a Mocker in the tree we were standing next to. Another time, a mockingbird was playing a rather dangerous game, mimicking a cat, and very well at that. In 1758, Carl Linnaeus named the species, Mimus polyglottos, meaning "many-tongued thrush." It certainly can mimic a whole host of sounds. It is not, however, a thrush. It is a species unto itself. If you have a "Bird" album, the Northern Mockingbird would have to be a separate category although I suppose you could loosely define it as a "Passerine." I'm just tucking him away under my "Corvids, Icterids, and Jays" album.

On this particular day, and for the third time since I started photographing them, this mocking bird came to the middle of the Buckeye Trail on Mt. Diablo and spread his wings in some sort of display. I didn't think he was displaying to or for me, but there were no other birds around ... and the rattlesnake that passed up a few minutes before, just kept going. I thought perhaps it was a warning to some other unseen mocker, but there was no sound. Just this display. Wings flapping, a little two-step dance, then he would be still and he's flash the white bands on his wings. And this went on for at least 10 minutes before he stopped, and just took off.

I thought I'd keep this shot in the archives until I could look up "mockingbird displays." That was ten years ago when I didn't really have "archives." But whenever I needed to look up Northern Mockingbird, I search for "displays." Today, in Wikipedia, I cam across this: "These birds forage on the ground or in vegetation; they also fly down from a perch to capture food. While foraging, they frequently spread their wings in a peculiar two-step motion to display the white patches. ***There is disagreement among ornithologists over the purpose of this behavior, with hypotheses ranging from deceleration to intimidation of predators or prey."***

Not exactly satisfying, but hey, a decade is enough.

Beaucoup de pirouettes, de menaces mais aucun corps à corps

I came across Maggie again this morning, noted by a couple scars on her left side. She’s a sweetheart and will often approach me. I had to turn her back today. I didn’t want her going anywhere near the Vile, Toxic work department, I just came from. My coworkers so loud, vile and obnoxious; a woman grabs her young son by the arm and rushes out the door. As my coworkers and neighbors, are allowed to scream profanity, be as loud and obnoxious as possible, harass, bate, retaliate and mob. All in the name of Workplace Mobbing, Community stalking and Gang Stalking. I have been reaching out to NPS Regional Directors office again. Meanwhile; every vile, unethical person in the park; rallies to make my live a living hell. Again folks, this is not about me. It’s about doing what’s right, to make this a better America, a better, safer, civil Yosemite National Park. I’ll face them tonight as I try to relax in my room, sleep in my bed and when I go back to work tomorrow. This is how people are silenced, forced out of Yosemite. As our contractors rape and pillage for billions in profits and guest go home sick and injured. Will I keep posting; damn right….

I posted this image again because, when I added audio to it, it blurred the image when played. This was my recent post titled “Listen”. If you do decide to listen to it, put on a pair of headphones, turn the volume up to about 75% and you will get a true Yosemite experience. It will give you a little insight to the Mobbing here in Yosemite National Park. Some call this Gang Stalking or Community Stalking. What this is, is Conspired Organized Hate. This behavior is allowed in Yosemite National Park, by the many extremely unethical managers we have. Year after year, they continue to hire like minded Toxic people. The audio file attached to “Listen” is a clip from me trying to sleep, as I’m being Mobbed and Harassed by my neighbors. I dropped off a complaint pertaining to this exact behavior, over a week ago to the Superintendent. I also addressed in the complaint; the Fraud, Waste, Incompetence, Whistleblower Retaliation and Cover-up, that goes on in Yosemite.

No one has reached out to me as of yet, for the complaint. I have had managers, housing staff, coworkers and neighbors reaching out with retaliation and harassment. Oh, and I was written-up today for being late; somebody loves me. You want to know the truth about Yosemite; take a read through my photostream.

Thank you and Flickr for giving me the opportunity to expose the Truth. It’s becoming more dangerous each and every day, here in the United States.

Just recently, many of Yosemite’s iconic names were restored, to places like the Ahwahnee Hotel, Curry Village and more. I read one article that said the locals are crying over having the names restored. They should be crying because these Iconic names were being held ransom; by a previous contractor that Trademarked them, while they were here in the park. The media doesn’t put it that way, but that’s is actually what happened. They wanted 12 million dollars to release the names they Trademarked... National Parks Service allowed this to happen, you, me and the ones crying are paying for it. I don’t need to go on about how it was done. You can research and find the truth yourself. It’s another example of the corruption and Good-Ol-Boy system, still in place, in National Parks Service.

Here in Yosemite National Park; our Superintendents tend to hide behind their staff. This happens when we address the many unsafe practices by the contractors that get paid for services, many fraudulent. Witnessing unsafe electrical equipment and water combined, exposing this to children and guest daily. That one’s just to push my buttons daily. There are many senior employees that have resigned lately over safety violations and the lack of anyone caring. Unless you have a battalion of people demanding these safety violation be addressed and corrected; you wont get pass the Superintendent’s staff, if you’re me, you don’t get in the building. Federal electrical and safety codes don’t apply here ether. Contractor’s profits come before the safety of our guest and the preservation of Yosemite National Park; is that Clear Enough....

$12 million dollars could replace and repair a lot of water fill stations. Then maybe our guest aren't stuck paying $2 a bottle.

Good morning folks, I hope all are well. I’d like to share a story with you about a young mother, a man at a service counter, American Heros.

Last week my car battery died. I had to drive to a small town outside the park, in the foothills. I went to an auto parts store to get my battery replacement. Most of my tools in storage; I asked the man at the counter if he could replace the one in my car. Without hesitation, he said yes and grabbed a cart with tools. He replaced my battery within minutes, said thank you sir and went back in the store to serve others. I tipped him well, which he was reluctant to take. Again, this is not about me. I understand; there are many struggling to feed their families, pay their bills and don’t have the means to do so.

After having my battery replaced, I stopped at a sandwich shop, to purchase sandwiches for the park gate staff. Again, not about me. I walked into this sandwich shop and there were two people making sandwiches. They wore gloves, were very professional, pulled together to serve their customers. The woman that checked me out, has kids. She rang up my total, I had my debit card in one hand, that she didn’t see. I laid some cash on the counter and she thought it was for the order. She was going to put it in the register and I said no, it’s for you two, I really appreciate what your doing. Immediately, tears swelled in here eyes. She wiped them from her face, stepped away for a moment, compose herself and changed her gloves. As I drove home, I wondered if I would see her again.

These two and many others, not realizing how Brave they truly are. These are Americans; working in grocery stores, the drivers delivering those good, our mail, our deliveries at home and many, many Americans. These average Americans, putting their lives at risk; to provide services for many of us, food for their families. This is America at it’s best, during troubling times.

Now, it’s time for the other side of this. In our County (Mariposa, CA), the media and others are stating there are no COVID19 cases. Actually, there are no reported cases; because people are not being tested. Now, let me tell share with you, what is happening in the state, that most of my family and extended family resides. This is in the Midwest, Rural America. My sister and brother-in-law, had all the symptoms of COVID-19. He, first became ill and went to an Urgent Care. He was sent home without testing. He got sicker, had difficulty breathing and went to an ER. He was sent home again, without testing. My sister, soon became ill and went through the same. This was coming from my mother over the weekend. She then texted us; telling us, one of our extended family members lost the love of her life. He died at home and she didn’t know what to do with his body. No one was returning calls. Again, this is not about me. This is about what our government and what the media is not telling you about. The numbers that are being publicized are not even close to the number of people infected. This is from our Current Vice President's state. You know, the person supposedly head of the COVID-19 Task Force.

Now, let me tell you how the residents of Yosemite National Park are coming together, during a Pandemic. Having intense medical training, I go to work everyday. I know what needs to be done, to help keep people safe. Again, not about me. As I try to disinfect heavy contact surfaces; my managers and coworkers are doing everything they can, to prevent me from doing so, or intentionally contaminating areas, I’ve recently disinfected, belittling me, mocking, harassing. My coworkers; are intentionally walking up to me withing inches from my face, after repeated request to distance. This as recent as yesterday. One of the employees that does this, yesterday, told me to Die, Die, Die, after I clocked out. Sunday, while I was being mobbed and harassed by coworkers; a manager started playing “Drives Me Crazy”, loudly on a boom-box. As I repeatedly address the lack of social distancing, I’m called “Crazy, Crazy Person Mother Fer”, told to “F Off” These are the same amoral types being promoted within the company I work for. Wouldn't you say so Mark.

When I leave work; there’s a convoy of vehicles waiting to zoom across an intersection, I walk through daily. This is so the air is filled with exhaust. When I arrive at my housing area, I get the same, to include implement equipment, housing staff sweeping a street with straw broom, just to stir up dust. Once I am home; housing staff and my neighbors rally outside my room, finding alternative ways to harass me.

This is how Yosemite’s Community comes together during a Pandemic; for what? To rid the park of someone that exposes the truth, to harass someone they don’t even know, for their own sick, twisted sense of gratification. This is how Yosemite’s Toxic Mobbing Community comes together. They are risking the lives of many Brave Americans, their families, extended families; for their own selfish hateful, gratification. This is the face of Mobbing, Yosemite National Park. Again, this is not about me; it’s about educating you about Workplace Mobbing, Community Stalking, Yosemite National Park. Here again, I stand Alone. Isn't this so; Jackie, John....

Please people, I’m asking for your help. I have made many, many phone calls, emails, sent pictures, driven hundreds of miles; to be dismissed. Please send an email, a phone call to these two people, that have been burying their heads in the sand; while people across America are dying alone, in hospitals, in their homes, untested. Ask them if they have an ounce, a gram, of dignity, compassion? They surely have no accountability.

Workplace Mobbing, Community Stalking and Gang Stalking are real BIG, in Yosemite National Park.

I’ve been in Yosemite for a while. I’ve constantly had to fight tooth and nail, just to survive. I’d much rather put back on a pair of combat boots; my brothers always had my back. There is one amazing woman here that’s had mine. I first met her many years ago. She thanked me for addressing this Toxic Mobbing Mentality. She has sat with me through meeting after meeting; investigating when no one else would. She fights silently everyday; protecting the rights of others. That’s some BIG stuff folks. I can’t thank her enough.

As I make my way to Snow Creek; I come across the large tree root, right center. The light hitting it; it looks as if a man is setting there watching the passage. It somehow reminded me of my father and how watchful he was. Many years ago we were fishing; my younger brother fell into a fast moving river. Our father jumped in without hesitation and brought him back to shore.

A father first, husband and a Korean War Veteran; dearly missed.

la montagne des singes (Kintzheim)

It seems like ages ago I posted a photo titled “The Death of a Civil Nation”, but look at us now. I look at the national news online, tears form in my eyes. I do my grocery shopping in Buckeye Arizona; every local in the Mobbing Community shows up to harass my dog and myself. I go to a local station to fill our Motorhome with propane; every simpleton in Tonopah, shows up; to pull some kind of mobbing simpleton skit. I really try to be tactful, but how can I, when my dog and I are constantly mobbed and surrounded by such hate and ignorance. As Koda (The Magnificent) and I Boondock; we are surrounded by such hate and harassment. There will be miles and acres of open sites, but these haters set up a stone throw away. You can’t reason with these people; especially when there are many in law enforcement and first responders, participating too. This is the daily life of a Whistleblower in America. The daily hidden life of many Americans; that are not afraid to confront the deep corruption within our nation. I won’t be silenced; I’ll continue to shine light on what many call Gang Stalking, Community Mobbing.

These groups use 24/7 harassment tactics to rid their communities of anyone they deem undesirable. Corporations, Law Enforcement and some of our Government agencies use these groups to target and discredit Whistleblowers.

Update: within minutes of posting this; more haters and baiters show up to harass Koda and myself. Using their own children and pets. This is America today!!! Yesterday two Law Enforcement agents from the Department of the Interior came to my camp and said I had to move in two weeks. As I watched them leave; they didn't stop at any other camps. Almost everyone close to me had left prior to them showing up. But, after I posted this many come rushing back to get their licks in.

Beautiful looking dunes at sunset time

Mesquite Sand Dunes, Death Valley

The burrowing owls from at least 4 of the burrows at Brian Piccolo Park have now been accounted for - all parents & babies. Pretty happy, though quite amazed about that. Just goes to show just how good of parents these guys are and how obedient the babies are. I know this through observations ... always warning of danger, listening to the parents as they "bark" alert, always being carefully watched over. Of course, it's a matter of survival.

One of my favorite moments in the time that I get to spend with them is when they begin to fly. First, it's usually just a quick jump, then it becomes a quick flight (perhaps over the burrow itself, then the next step is usually a testing of the wings - generally on a windy day - when they merely fly up in the air and hover a bit. The looks on the faces range from intimidation, hesitation, concentration, fascination, and ultimately you can see their proud look as well. Mind you, this is all within generally just a few seconds.

In this image, it's one of those "look at me" moments. As a rule, when one gets flying, they all seem to try. As a photographer trying to catch the moment, there have been times that I literally wished that my lens would split into different directions! LOL. Sometimes, I get nothing because I'm a bit indecisive as to which owl to follow. LOL. You hear a lot of "where did it go?" from those around you. It's all good though!

Hope that you enjoy tonights image ... it's one of my favorites. :-) Happy Tuesday!

This was taken opposite Freemasons' Hall and it appears that the chaps in front have the Masonic square and compasses emblem on their ties.

For telling the Truth.

I take Koda out to use the bathroom this morning; we get Gun Fire going off a few hundred yards behind us. This started in Yosemite National Park; when I was near Foresta photographing the Big Meadow Barn, or landscape. This act of Intimidation and Terror; followed to Colorado, Arizona, and now Wyoming. When Koda and I would leave camp; someone would start shooting rapidly. When we came back close to camp, it would start back up. If we explored or hiked in certain areas, we would get the same; like last week. Now we receive it here in Wyoming, where it is Illegal until September, in the National Forest. With Corporate and Government Agency Backing; its allowed, and those involved will have a prepared Excuse. Again; Selective Law Enforcement.

People, Domestic Terrorism is real, and Thriving in America. It will hide under the Guise of other names; but its still Domestic Terrorism. I try and inform the FBI of it, they hang up on me.

As I log on to post this; Gunfire begins.

at Happy, Alaska.

Flashback Friday.

ca. mid-late 1980s.

Mush was not really our dog, but he did live with us off and on for a while. We met while Chance was still a puppy and Mush's person at the time was my cabinmate. We shared a dry cabin, no phone, no electric and about a tenth of a mile off the one lane, pothole filled, dead end dirt road. Judy had rescued him from a remote town, Kotzebue, above the Arctic Circle. People often talk about rescuing dogs, but Mush and Judy’s story is unique and a very literal rescue.

Judy was living in “Kotz” doing, if I’m not mistaken, graduate work. I’m sure she had seen Mush before, but one day while he was harnessed and in team, she heard yelling; his owner pulled a gun and was about to shoot him dead. Evidently Mush was a fighter and was not receptive to being told what to do by this person. This method of training, shooting a dog in harness while his teammates look on was meant as a lesson to the other dogs that they better behave. Truly misguided and cruel – “training” through fear and intimidation. But things were different in the bush and some people could not afford to keep a dog that not only did not perform, but also harmed other dogs in the team.

Judy intervened, “don’t shoot that dog!” And the person reluctantly acquiesced, warned her about his behavior, and said, “get him the hell out of here.” (or something to that effect).

Judy returned to Fairbanks for University studies (where we met and became roommates), of course she loved that dog with all her heart, with all her being, and he no doubt loved her as well, realizing maybe not that she saved his life, but that she got him away from a bad person.

It was said that Mush was ½ wolf. I usually take such claims with a grain of salt, but with Mush I believed it. Huskies can be very aloof, and arguably most or all of them can be traced to some wolf heritage, but Mush was the most aloof dog that I have ever experienced. Also, he did not like men, any wonder. But he tolerated me and eventually we became as close as he would allow. Later Lenore came around and she fell for him and he preferred to live with her in her little cabin. He provided her security and comfort. But I jumped ahead a bit.

Judy and Mush moved in when Chance was still a young pup, he was not aggressive with the rambunctious puppy, but as a matter of training and demonstrating who was boss, he would sit with seemingly all his weight (he was big) on Chance the pup. Chance learned. In his time with me Mush was a strong freight dog, helping haul firewood locally and supplies out to my remote cabin site. I even named a stretch of trail after him, “Mush’s Misery,” as it was a long uphill slog and he would put his head down, lean into his harness and march ahead without complaint.

Later Mush disappeared and some weeks or months later I was surprised to see him at a friends cabin. This was not near where Lenore or I had lived. The friend was surprised that I knew him, as surprised as I was to find him living with her. She said he just appeared on her porch one day and stayed, as if he lived there. She was involved in a separation and felt alone and vulnerable too in that place. She was convinced that Mush sensed this, and intentionally appeared to protect her and provide comfort. They had not met before. I didn’t really feel like it was my choice, so he stayed. Eventually he disappeared from her too, and that’s all we know.

When it comes to photography, fear is a strong motivator, but often not in the right directions. There is a lot to be afraid of, and a lot to be intimidated by. You can be afraid of not being good enough, of not being as good as other photographers, of taking boring or irrelevant photos. You can be intimidated by the complex controls on your camera, flash, tripod, lens, filters, etc. You can be afraid to make mistakes, to look dumb, to not get any better. Starting websites, building portfolios, submitting to contests (and often losing) all can be intimidating and fear-inducing. Selling, teaching, sharing. The list goes on.

I won't tell you to not be afraid. I cannot, or rather you cannot help but be a bit afraid at times. It is natural. And that is what I will tell you, it's natural. All photographers experience some or all of those fears, worries and intimidations at some point in their career. If they tell you otherwise, they are full of it, self-deluded, crazy or some combination of the three. And that is one thing that separates photographers.

Fear motivates some to get better, it breeds frustration in others and they put their cameras away, often in exasperation, anxiety or disgust. But the best cure for that type of fear is a combination of time, practice and experience. Those three things will breed confidence.

So if you are a beginning photographer, like all of us once were, then yeah, that intimidation is natural, but stick with it and I promise it will eventually pass. It may take a while, but it will be on its merry way eventually.

Of course the fears we experience as beginners sometimes evolve as we become more seasoned. Sometimes they become more acute. The fear of failure, leading to an avoidance of experimentation is a common one. As a beginning photographer, you expect to make mistakes. As you acquire experience and knowledge you expect to not make mistakes.

All I will say to that is be thankful of your mistakes, you learn from them. Make as many as you possibly can, you will be a better photographer for it.

Getting over the intimidation of learning a camera gives way to the intimidation of marketing the photography you have learned to take. The intimidation of starting a business, approaching galleries, creating a website, printing a book.

When it comes to this point, there are generally two types of people, those who push forward despite their uncertainties and those who do not. But again, the point is, at some point we have all been uncertain.

And again, my advice is limited. But what I do have, I gladly offer. The best piece I think I have is to be happy with yourself as a photographer. Learn to appreciate and love and enjoy what you do with a camera. If you are at peace with your abilities as a photographer, then what others think of those abilities is secondary and not overly important. And trust me, no matter how good of images you make, there will always be people who really don't like them as well as people that really do. When it comes to that, it is just a matter of finding the latter and avoiding the former.

The interesting thing about being a beginning photographer is that it is all so fresh and new. There is so much territory to explore. I miss that period sometimes. So when I get to branch out into something I have never done before, like building a website, or printing a book, I avoid being intimidated by instead being excited at the opportunity to learn. I am not afraid to make mistakes, because I am already aware of the unavoidable fact that I will make them, and each mistake made will only make me that much better. I am not afraid of being rejected by contests because I understand that art is subjective. Some jurors will like my work and some won't, but as long as I like my work, then their opinions can remain just their opinions. I don't even fear the fact that I will only live long enough to take a finite number of photos, that sunsets 200 years from now are out of my reach. I instead choose to concentrate on those photos I can create.

But anyway, this carries on a bit long. It has just been a topic on my mind, particularly with the teaching I have done lately. I see a lot of anxiety and intimidation and worry. But it is natural, it is alright to be anxious and intimidated and worried at certain points. It does not make you any less of a photographer.

But how you deal with it can.

Image note:

I don't actually own a Lensbaby. Nifty product but they don't make one for the cameras I would prefer to use it on, so I made my own a while back. Took it on this trip to San Fran. I could be afraid that the technique is a bit gimmicky and avoid it. But then if I did that, how would I ever learn how to surpass the gimmick and use the technique creatively?

This young Bald Eagle tries the intimidation technique and this adult Bald Eagle does not move. It ended up landing just beside it and the Adult still did not move and did not share it's salmon.

I came upon this fallen Ponderosa as I walked along Snow Creek. It is about 80 feet long, covered with names and initials. I wonder if Fred imagined that Yosemite would be infested with a culture of corruption, intimidation, conspired bullying, harassment, stalking and mobbing?

"The Medano Ranch Headquarters is an important part of the development of cattle ranching in the San Luis Valley from the open range days of the 1870s through the mechanized operations of the period following World War II.

The Medano is one of the oldest continuously operated properties in the area and its buildings and structures reflect the evolution of ranching as a large-scale enterprise during the late 19th and 20th centuries. The history of the ranch incorporates the sweeping historical themes associated with ranching in Colorado, including the driving of Texas cattle to the area in the 1870s, the entrance of eastern investors into the region’s cattle ranching, the use of sham homestead claims and intimidation of earlier settlers to acquire immense tracts of land during the 19th century, the difficulty of surviving during periods of economic distress, the continued consolidation of lands during the 20th century, and the application of modern ranching techniques and participation in stockmen’s associations during the 20th century.

Architecturally, the ranch headquarters is representative of the heart of a major San Luis Valley cattle ranch that began as a range cattle operation, grew greatly in physical extent as smaller holdings were consolidated, and evolved into a fed-cattle Hereford business in the early 20th century. The buildings are classic examples of the variety of materials and construction techniques found on ranches of great longevity. An important aspect of the buildings is their representation of the common ranch practice of recycling and reusing existing structures and joining smaller buildings together to create larger ones. One of the buildings, the draft horse barn, reflects New Mexican influences in its design."
