Interstellar Police Patrol Department : IPPD “Thunder” is a 7th generation police patrol frigate. Painted in traditional police colour, the vessel stands unique in the sea of galatic spaceships; a clear symbol of justice and just. Thunder is the first among patrol ships to have a nuclear-powered core. This, combined with its tri-engine frame, grants it a formidable speed. Consequently, the frigate frequently becomes a Striker among patrol groups, despite its original Frigate class. When being the only on-duty, Thunder can still perform excellently, thanks to its well-designed tracking radars and the regular unrivaled speed. While the tri-engine frame decreases Thunder’s stability, the frigate can still be deployed into long missions due to its mighty nuclear fusion core. The engine frame can be alternatively shut down, sacrifice speed for stability. In these missions, Thunder excels in the freighter’s role, for its large haul space which becomes available when no longer occupied by the 2 supporting engines at the left and right wings. 0319's basic weapons include 2 standard medium pulse laser turret, 2 enlarged TBM set (8 missiles each) and a basic speed shield.

The Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles was a location dressed to play NASA's rocket silo in the 2014 movie "Interstellar". The shooting took place in the huge six level lobby of the hotel. Lucky me, I was attending a function at the hotel on one of the days the filming took place. This lobby is a maze of six levels of bridges, stairways, walkways, and elevators, so my knowledge of the exact areas that the shooting took place proved to be valuable for my photo hunt.
The hotel is located at 404 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles.
I have so much love for Transmission and my family there. Thank you all for loving the alien with me tonight. <3
We miss you down here, Starman.

ESO’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) has obtained new images of 3I/ATLAS, an interstellar object discovered last week. Identified as a comet, 3I/ATLAS is only the third visitor from outside the Solar System ever found, after 1I/ʻOumuamua and 2I/Borisov. Its highly eccentric hyperbolic orbit, unlike that of objects in the Solar System, gave away its interstellar origin.
In this image, several VLT observations have been overlaid, showing the comet as a series of dots that move towards the right of the image over the course of about 13 minutes on the night of 3 July 2025. The data were obtained with the FORS2 instrument, and are available in the ESO archive.

Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming sci-fi epic, INTERSTELLAR, is a project still shrouded in secrecy despite already releasing two trailers. Written by brother Jonathan Nolan and formally attached to Steven Spielberg, INTERSTELLAR is said to be inspired by the Caltech physicist and relativity ex...

I'm gonna have to science the shit out of this.¹
В поисках невозможного человек всегда осознавал и знал возможное а те кто "мудро" ограничивался тем что казалось возможным никогда не продвигались ни на шаг.²

Interstellar bureaucracy is a MESS. It's not like some pencil-pusher on the capital world is going to have eyes-on clearance, he's just spitting out designations for everything that crosses his desk.

Fairly sure this is the first 100-stud-plus model I've finished (antennae count, right?)
Eita esmalte difícil de fotar, viu?
É multichrome, não consegui captar a mudança de cor :/

Okay, so it's a 35mm blow-up to IMAX. I was a little disappointed about that, but it's a more interesting frame than some of the other's I've seen. This was scanned with my V700 and the colors were matched to the original film. So for those of you who are curious, this is what a high resolution scan of a 35mm blow up to IMAX looks like. The color depth isn't quite there, as evidenced by the banding in the out of focus areas, and the grain looks sharper on the original, but this is pretty close. Enjoy.
Excuse the weird white balance, I need to get that sorted.
The joint module mould is done and producing plenty of casts, so that will keep me busy in between painting.
For a plain colour scheme it's surprisingly time consuming to paint, airbrushing all those panels...
Sunrise above Australia.
Posting a few pics while travelling to Australia for a holiday.
This sunset reminded me of one of my favorite movies, Interstellar when Cooper and the team ventured into Gargantua's territory.
This album was fully taken on my canonet.
