This is my first MOC. It started out as a Mining Freighter but shiny white and sleek design does not really match a Space Mining Company now, does it? Interstellar priority freighter it is, for the moment being. :)

Last nights photo project...I got this creepy doll at a barn sale while in Vermont this summer for a dollar. I knew it would make a great subject for lighting. One of its eyes has a tendency to roll back into its head making it even more disturbing...ha.. Im really happy with the way this turned out, the futuristic look and the combination of techniques used. All done in camera using multi exposure mode.
Element One first exposure (previous photo in the feed): Smoke, laser, and a quick on and off with my LedLenser P5 to light half the face and hand. Element two: Green finger light with the nice flare. Element Three: circular camera rotation of defocused multi colored LED's. Element Four: Camera zoom of defocused multi colored LEDs.

The Milky Way is the galaxy that contains our Solar System. Its name "milky" is derived from its appearance as a dim glowing band arching across the night sky in which the naked eye cannot distinguish individual stars. The term "Milky Way" is a translation of the Latin via lactea, from the Greek γαλαξίας κύκλος (galaxías kýklos, "milky circle"). From Earth, the Milky Way appears as a band because its disk-shaped structure is viewed from within. he Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy that has a diameter usually considered to be roughly 100,000–120,000 light-years but may be 150,000–180,000 light-years. All twelve modules have now been fitted and just a little cleanup left to do on some- I've also nearly finished casting all the payloads which go in the back of the habitation modules, so that ought to be done by the end of today.
In between casts I was making the tunnel module master, which is now already moulded and I'll soon be casting from.
The last thing I did yesterday was make the brass arm which juts from the ship's aft. I intend to tap a 1/4" tripod thread into it for mounting purposes, so I needed the join to withstand holding up 5kg; I reasoned the strongest join I'd be able to whip up at 11pm in my shop would be if I pinned and soldered the two brass bars together. As you can see, it works a charm.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket with NASA’s IMAP (Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe), the agency’s Carruthers Geocorona Observatory, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Space Weather Follow On–Lagrange 1 (SWFO-L1) spacecraft atop stands vertical at Launch Complex 39A as the sun sets on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The missions will each focus on different effects of the solar wind — the continuous stream of particles emitted by the Sun — and space weather — the changing conditions in space driven by the Sun — from their origins at the Sun to their farthest reaches billions of miles away at the edge of our solar system.
