NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope reobserved interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS Nov. 30, with its Wide Field Camera 3 instrument. At the time, the comet was about 178 million miles (286 million kilometers) from Earth. Hubble tracked the comet as it moved across the sky. As a result, background stars appear as streaks of light.
Hubble previously observed 3I/ATLAS in July, shortly after its discovery, and a number of NASA missions have since studied the comet as well. Observations are expected to continue for several more months as 3I/ATLAS heads out of the solar system.

NASA's Interstellar Boundary Explorer, or IBEX, spacecraft has made it possible for scientists to construct the first comprehensive sky map of our solar system and its location in the Milky Way galaxy. The new view will change the way researchers view and study the interaction between our galaxy and sun. The sky map was produced with data that two detectors on the spacecraft collected during six months of observations. The detectors measured and counted particles scientists refer to as energetic neutral atoms.
The energetic neutral atoms are created in an area of our solar system known as the interstellar boundary region. This region is where charged particles from the sun, called the solar wind, flow outward far beyond the orbits of the planets and collide with material between stars. The energetic neutral atoms travel inward toward the sun from interstellar space at velocities ranging from 100,000 mph to more than 2.4 million mph. This interstellar boundary emits no light that can be collected by conventional telescopes.

Strait out of camera!
Combine a dark room, a ceiling fan, some tape, some string, an LED, an old fiber optic lamp, a weird homemade lens filter, a camera, and a penny... and this is what you get.
I woke up hours late so I missed the brighter appearance of the Milky Way, but it still shows in the photo, though very faintly.
This is Mt. Pulag on a moonless, cloudless night, with me being 2,700 meters closer to the stars.
The sea of clouds cover the distant cities of Baguio and beyond.

An attempt at low light shooting with long exposure.
Incidentally it became an interesting comparison of the 2 Panasonic kit lenses.
The 12-32 is very sharp, but with a somewhat flat rendering. Working against a strong highlight it explodes into a big sunstar which I don't mind, but unfortunately this comes with the rather nasty-looking and persistent green flare visible in the center of the image.

Io ero lì. O almeno credo...un crescendo, sempre più rapido, sempre più intenso...le mani diventano fredde, l'aria diventa fredda...
...L'odore dei fumi, gli strilli degli strumenti, i musicisti in estasi. Quasi un orgasmo.
Poi la tastiera ti risucchia via , lontanissimo...quel riff ipnotico, di una chitarra... Ed io ero ancora lì, o almeno credo. Ora si lamentano, si contorcono, la musica sembra fluida, liquida, inconsistente..
In lontananza.. il tintinnio di una batteria, ti sveglia. Un sussulto, ho quasi paura, è come sentirsi nudi.
Nudi in un teatro. Anzi, no. è proprio come non avere più corpo.
