The Texas Star at the State Fair of Texas.

Each folded from one sheet of elephant hide paper scored with a Craft ROBO.

The patterns are based on ten regular pentagons arranged around a regular decagon. I found that arrangement on this helpful Wkipedia page.

The concept was previously explored by Daniel Kwan and Philip Chapman-Bell.

It was serendipity last time I visited Seoul, as the timing intersected perfectly with my friends Stephan and Jason also being there at the same time. Steph and I stayed at the same inn near our office and every day we would cap off the night with a double Jameson at this record bar called Strange Fruit. That was so much fun and a lot of good conversations were had.

I'm back again but this time only with my director and friend Sangwon. We hit Strange Fruit the first night and of course, double Jameson.

Decided to return to the Clarke Quay area for Light Trails yet again. This time using the busy main road for the light subjects and the MICA building as the background.

The Palace of Independence is a fantastic piece of architecture and thankfully fairly free of roosting birds (if you know what I mean)

One sheet of elephant hide paper glued on cardboard to keep the model from bending more than it should. The paper was scored with a cutting plotter (Craft ROBO) before folding, which helped a lot, especially with the curved creases.

The concept was previously explored by Daniel Kwan and Philip Chapman-Bell.

A Beautiful Spring Outing Along the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway in Baker County Oregon.

Enjoyed a beautiful winter day along the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway between the towns of Baker City and Halfway, with beautiful blue skies and amazing views of the snow capped Wallowa Mountains along the way.

The Hells Canyon Scenic Byway is a loop that encircles the Wallowa Mountains, intersecting with Interstate 84 at Baker City and La Grande. During the fall the byway is an ideal route for exploring the regions fall foliage and autumn splendor with some great wildlife viewing opportunities along the way.

The byway is a popular destination for group tours and offers visitors a chance to experience small town Americana in small towns like Halfway, as they explore the rugged and spectacular Northeast Oregon landscape along the way.

Hwy 86 between Baker City and the Hells Canyon Dam at the bottom of the canyon is open year round providing visitors access to the deepest river gorge in North America.

Arne Filan and his wife of 57 years, Harriet Filan, pause for a little rainy day romance as they part their umbrellas and share a passing kiss under the trees at Pioneer Park in Walla Walla, Washington. The elderly couple walk in opposite directions because Harriet walks a greater distance than Arne. At some point in their outings, they intersect and on this particular morning, Arne offered up a little kiss to the love of his life. Arne admitted to the youthful age of 77 but remarked fondly of Harriet, "My wife's still 39," adding with a smile, "she doesn't get any older than that."

A quiet pause beneath the city’s pulse. In the cavern of the metro station, light fractures across steel and tile, momentarily sculpting the hum of movement into stillness. Every beam, every reflection whispers of journeys both begun and ended—fragments of lives intersecting in transit.
