It's really hot this weekend in San Diego, up near 90 here in the East County, and the skies have been filled with thin wispy clouds all day.
I thought it was an interesting angle.
I took this photo with a Revue BF3AF (rebranded Olympus P&S) on expired Kodak Gold 200 film (2005ish).
Interestingly, I saw huge chromatic aberration on my nice expensive prime lens -- several pixels of magenta at the border between the Watchtower building and the sky. Fixed it up as much as possible in Lightroom, and then just went for B & W.
This is Jehovah's Witnesses' headquarters in DUMBO, Brooklyn, where they publish their newsletter the Watchtower.
After an extremely grueling series of flights, complete with long layovers and extended delays we landed at Papeete around 0200, got to the hotel at 0400, and were still pretty wired. We ended up taking a hotel shuttle into Papette at 0830. It was so hot and humid, we were soaked within minutes. We checked out the public market and surrounding shops and studios. It had a nice feel. Around 1030 we had our first beer on Tahiti and I don't think beer ever tasted so good. We took the shuttle back to the hotel at noon and quickly passed out for a few hours before we did some swimming and beach walking.
