At first I didn't understand why so many sheep were penned in to this small field but on closer inspection I realised that these were ewes ready for lambing any day

A creative and talented group of young dancers with whom I participated in a contact intensive hosted by EDAM in Vancouver, under the tutelage of Peter Bingham, Marc Boivin and Andrew Harwood. We had so much fun!

The sagebrush steppe within the boundary of the National Battlefield is particularly rich in native shrub, grass, and herb (forb) species, much more so than outside Battlefield where grazing is variably intensive. Eriophyllum is a bit more common on rocky slopes were the density of other plant species is somewhat low. The sagebrush green herbage that includes also the uniformly sized involucral bracts is distinctive of this species.
