Breeding broiler chickens. Chickens are intensively fattened for six weeks. As a result of the rapid increase in muscle mass, by the end of the cycle they are unable to move on their own.Many chickens do not survive six weeks. They die of heart attacks or are too weak to survive in such a high density. The cycle ends with the chickens being transported in cramped plastic containers to the slaughterhouse .
