My Great Grandfather (1845-1902) looks down over my shoulder.....
What would he have thought...?

This castle was the birthday cake of my elder daughter Margot. She wanted a chocolate cake for her castle. It was a wonderfull cake to do but also stressful!!
First custom minifigure that I've made since being home. I just finished him today while I'm waiting for the delivery guy to drop off the new furniture.
I saw the minifig that Tuminio made and was really inspired to make my own.
Everything except the groin protection and the green piece of armor on the arm are removable. He also stands quite a bit tower then a normal minifigure with the additional brick on the feet and the neck ring to raise the head.
I need to go to Radioshack and buy a blue LED to put inside. Its drilled out and ready to go. I just need to get the parts.
Also... I don't have an actual Ironman minifig yet so I had to use the PotC Jack head.
Hope you guys enjoy! Any questions comments or criticism is always appreciated!

i had the WB set to tungsten for a previous shot, that's why it came out so blue....
Just arrived. Officially licensed by the grey-haired Ewok, signed and numbered #31 of 400, direct from Olly. Cost a small fortune, but worth it.

Jazz luminary Bob James visited the Miner Family Winery for a special dinner and concert last evening with GA guitarist Howard Paul. They performed inside the wine cave, which made the entire shoot quite a challenge since at times I had to explore my ISO 5,200-10,000 range.
I really enjoyed shooting this image because his piano sounded simply amazing from this vantage. This man is incredibly talented; Google him if you are curious about his music and long career. Impressive stuff.

Today was the first day we've had all 5 of our golden retrievers in together. Winston finally got to meet Teeka, Jazz and Ben got to compare barks and wavy hair, Royce kept everything together.
The hardest part of getting everyone together to take a photo was having the camera in my hand. Every time I put it down, they'd all group together and stare at me. The moment I got the camera they'd scatter as if there was some sort of school yard signal. Lucky for me no one can escape nap time, not even a group of golden retrievers.
Sixth month of the "365 Days of RX1: one camera, one lens, 12 projects". Sixth theme: "I'm Batman".
It doesn't mean that I AM Batman, even if today I am. It means more like anyone could be, or even just feel like him. While looking at these shots, try to imagine the subject portrayed, usually at his job or while performing daily duties, saying "I'm Batman" with the same husky, dark, intense, testosteronic voice of Christian Bale www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4qgTk8Vfyc (even if the one of Jim Parson would be probably more adequate… www.youtube.com/watch?v=diQHV_ZFyqY).
Nothing too serious this month, actually the opposite. I'll ask random people (and a few friends) to wear the mask while on duty and pose for a portrait. At the end we'll have thirty-one different Batmans, each doing a different job in the city. Cause nobody knows the masks we wear inside. Anyone could be the Batman, literally.
So here is the first shot of the theme: the wedding-photographer Batman in the elevator on his way to work.

This was for a man who loves to make his own wine. I have been told that it was a total hit at the party and no one could believe that it was a cake. It was two tiers of fruit cake and the base tier was a foam dummy.

Why not view the set as a slide-show?
Also I often upload more than one image at the same time; I see a tendency to only view the last uploaded...
