An image that was photographed in my own back garden.

Hyperbole? Not a bit of it. For other insects, this is indeed the face of death. Beyond that, in the 1957 B-Movie, the terror of these wonderful horrors being much larger was explored.

Top Comment Box shows the poster from that entertaining movie.

I thought I would give insect photography a go. It's really hard to train insects. :)

Insect Id would be welcome.

Thank you so much for sharing your quality photos which is a great way to see and keep some sort of touch with the world from home. Also for your kind comments and favours which are much valued.

Photography is my passion, not the favorites or the comments! You who come begging your lot of daily favorites, I ask you to calm down because I feel this as an aggression!

La photographie est ma passion pas les favoris ou les commentaires! Vous qui venez grappiller votre lot quotidien de favori , je vous demande de vous calmer car je ressens ceci comme une agression!

According to Countryfile there are 9000 species of wasp in the UK, so I am not going to be brave enough to identify this one. It was photographed this morning in my back garden. See the following link for more information on UK wasps - www.countryfile.com/wildlife/insects-invertebrates/britis...

Easy to see the escape hatch this cicada used, right out the back door.

No idea what this insect is, but it loos like something you shouldn't touch. Could it be an assassin bug?
