Thank you for taking the time to visit, comment, fave or invite. I really appreciate them all.
I am still experimenting with AI in combination with my own photos. In this one the woman was created in DDG and then used as the input image for Wombo to create two photos which were merged. Elements from my own photos were included and everything was further manipulated in both Topaz and Photoshop.

Pond grasses on the surface of Lake Martha, along with shore refections, early evening after a Brighton Lakes trail hike. That circular cluster of grass looks like a maelstrom, and the granite rocks look like they are being fed into it, with the stringers of grass emerging out the other end. Of course, the process could just as easily be moving in the opposite direction. : )

Birds with nesting material, shot 3 of 4...
Blackbirds have character. They will fearlessly attack raptors to drive them away from their breeding territory. It is estimated that males spend a quarter of their daylight hours in territorial defence. They build intricate nests in cattail marsh or similar wetland habitat. The Cornell site has a great description of their nest-building, prefaced by commenting that the female chooses the nest site, "with some input from the male."
(Wow. Sounds like he offers suggestions, but she has ultimate veto powers. Just like our species.)
Anyway, according to Cornell: "Females build the nests by winding stringy plant material around several close, upright stems and weaving in a platform of coarse, wet vegetation. Around and over this she adds more wet leaves and decayed wood, plastering the inside with mud to make a cup. Finally, she lines the cup with fine, dry grasses. One nest picked apart by a naturalist in the 1930s had been made by weaving together 34 strips of willow bark and 142 cattail leaves, some 2 feet long. When finished the nest is 4 to 7 inches across and 3 to 7 inches deep."
Impressive!
This female posed for me with a bit of nesting material, allowing me to shift position and work around a partial screen of shrubbery. (Note: I can't say "shrubbery" without thinking of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.) Her mate was nearby, likewise watching. I knew approximately where the nest must be, but it was clear they didn't want to lead me to it, so I got the shot and then left them in peace.

"In Greek mythology Procrustes a vagabond, wanderer of the bed was inappropriate in a general squeezed: Who was too long, everything got chopped off any surplus, who was too short, was stretched to the right length. Each of us has the task to fathom who he really is. No one else can answer the question for us.
>> Who are you? <<Is a question that under the surface lies a vast, ramified root system thousands of times.
Who am I behind my mask behind my role? Who am I behind my words? Who am I when I'm alone with me? When I wake up in the middle of the night, then who am I? When the dawn me out of the jungle at night gets who I am before I am back behind the mask and the name of my days bring in identity security? -
It is one of the most neglected work our daily lives that we manage to keep hidden the wild complex diversity of our true identity so well that few people even suspect, what worlds collide in our hearts.
The friendship and love should be the safe regions in which our unknown self can come out to play.
Instead of holding our friend or loved one locked up in cramped cages cleaned up the frightened identity, should love him and set us free to celebrate our inherent complexity.
Why do we feel afraid and just in front of us to enjoy ourselves and the beauty of our own divinity?"

Fields dedicated to flower bulb production generate gorgeous agricultural landscapes in spring. There is however a sad part in this picture. Bulb production is one of the most contaminant activities in agriculture, with heavy chemical inputs, including systemic pesticides that end up in your garden, affecting the pollinators visiting the flowers. Estimates for the Netherlands reach an astonishing average of 100 kg of active pesticides per ha and 310 and 130 kg of nitrogen and phosphate per ha, respectively (Jansma et al 2002 Acta Hortic 570:191-204). The sad result is that those fields are abiotic, an artificial industrial spring with no bees and butterflies. And that muteness can reach your garden if you plant those bulbs. What to do? Choose organic bulbs (or simply do not buy them).
Everything was about in the perfect timing as this very lucky snapshot of the moon, the clouds
formation, the position of the moon and the golden state warriors theme of the Coit tower, the Embarcadero center.
It is totally like a painting work, What do you think? Any input will be greatly appreciate it.

We were in the mountains after spending a long day exploring and enjoying nature. We stopped in a small campground clear off to give the kids some time for necessary relief (*ahem - otherwise known as potty break lol) The sun was setting but we were surrounded by dense forest so there wasn't too much light. As I walked through the forest edge waiting on a few stragglers I saw the way the sun was setting through the trees and it was illuminating this tiny patch of tall grass. I knew I had to get it. And the sun was setting rapidly enough I didn't have time to switch out my lens from my 85mm. What I wanted was to get the light coming through the tops of the trees but the scale between the tiny patch of grass and the tall tree tops was pretty dramatically different. The only way I could get it was turning my camera vertical and setting it on the ground. Literally a belly shot! ;) The kids loaded back into the van and I emerged from the forest dirty and smiling. My husband doesn't even ask anymore why I'm dirty, he just smiles and says "Did you get what you wanted?"
Haha!
This particular trip was one of my favorites of the Fall season. Why is it that mid fall the sunlight seems more rich, more vibrant? It's a different sunset than a summer one. Maybe it's the autumnal colors that it's shining through... I don't know, sometimes I don't care what the explanation is. I love believing it's just another magical touch of the Autumn season. :)
On another note can you believe it's November already? At last it's beginning to feel as if Autumn is really truly about to be gone...:( We had a lot of snow hit us on the 31st. It really looked like a Winter Wonderland! Currently stocking up on firewood and making plans to celebrate with most of my family for Thanksgiving. And trying to slow time down and take every day as the treasure it is regardless of seasons...
Oh, oh I almost forgot! For a Winter project I've been working on my graphic design degree online. This has taken me into a lot of fun and interesting direction. As I had many of my photographer friends asking for logos and watermarks I decided to make some up. The majority of people buying them are portrait and wedding photographers. I would love input on what would make a good design for more landscapes? More of a watermark and not a logo I guess? I'd love to expand and I would love your feedback on the link below.
Alright, my coffee is cold and other responsibilities are calling. Coming here is like talking to old friends, it's hard to stop. Thank you for always listening to me! <3

Hey guys, I need your input on this. Should I try and get back into the hobby? And if I do, should I continue mainly being a customizer rather than a builder or should I try to build more to get better with mocs, scenes, and so forth. I really want to get back I to the hobby of Lego, but just don't know what to focus on.

Lake MacDonald, looking south toward the Apgar Village from Rocky Point on the north shore, Glacier National Park, Montana.
When lights are low and stars are bright, the world can appear as a whole new place, perched on the edge of something vast, primordial, and limitless in its possibility. One feels the elongation and bending nature of time, and the temptation to try and simultaneously imagine both the present and past in the same moment. My cousin-in-law and I walked out here, to the shores of Lake MacDonald late one night, as we were camping with family and extended family from Oregon. The lights come from nearby Columbia Falls, the Apgar Visitor Center and Village, and toward the right, from the bathrooms of the Fish Creek Campground. Lake MacDonald is incredibly clear and fairly cold, due to all the Northern Rockies snowmelt input, and apparently runs over 400 feet deep in the middle. It formed from both erosive and glacial action, and while very nutrient poor, it manages to support an impressive suite of native fish species, including kokanee. Looking at it under these nocturnal conditions, I nearly fancied taking a swim (REM tune full volume in my head, of course), but the memory of it being cold even in the middle of the afternoon when it had been 30 degrees warmer arrested that foolish plan and put it back where it belonged.
On the way back to camp, we heard some odd rustling and thrashing coming from the underbrush near the trail next to the lake. Turning on the headlamps to investigate, we discovered a large, and now probably blind, Western Toad individual. It was nearly as big as my hand from base of palm to tip of fingers, and I can only imagine that its hunting prowess, such as it stands, diminished severely after staring directly into twin LED beams focused right in its fully dilated eyes.

Attention
I am posting this image to try to get as much attention to a issue I have with stolen images.
Fox News published 6 of my images with a gallery from the eruption in Iceland without any permission from me. See: Fox News
I have tried to contact Fox News, by email, by phone, sent a bill, sent a polite email to them, sent another less polite email to them via various email addresses found on their website. No response at all. Its like emailing a black hole, there is nothing coming back.
These media company ferociously defend the copyright of their material but them self steal material from others. Its hypocrisy. The difference is that I have no means of defending myself against them. Does anybody have any advice how to claim my rights? Getting a lawyer is probably going to cost me more than I could ever get back.
If you can share this with other please do so, thank you.
30th April 1:31am: I have contacted Creative Commons to get their input on if usage of the image by Fox News is illegal under "Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives". Waiting response.
30th April 11am: Creative Commons did not want to state if the usage was illegal or not.
30th April 11:50am: Contacted Carolyn E. Wright for legal advice as recommended by Younes
6th of May: Fox News agreed on paying a compensation for the image use. Örvar vs. Fox News 1 - 0.

...have fascinated me and I am deeply impressed every time I see them somewhere in the forests of Switzerland. I know this picture is not very new anymore but I recently got some input or an idea from someone who shared his beautiful photo from a jay with us here on Flickr. I had completely forgotten that I have various pictures of jays myself, but never published them on my photostream here. This happens to me very often because I spend most of my time in the wild nature and can then take photos of various animals. The time spent out there is the most important thing for me and the wonderful moments of being able to experience it up close and in the middle of the wild. Selecting the many photos later on is always a lot of work for me and I shy away from it whenever possible. In this way, many of my photos stay on the memory card for a long time before I copy them to my computer. A lot of things are forgotten and I only discover the pictures when I really find the time or when I get a thought-provoking idea from someone like now. In this sense, I would like to thank Mike for recently publishing one of his photos of jays. www.flickr.com/photos/191055893@N07/
This was a good opportunity to check myself again to see if I have anything useful about jays - this beautiful and clever bird of the forest.
As you can see, I found what I was looking for, but I had a lot of trouble choosing one photo from the many that I have. On top of that, I have a lot of trouble choosing one of my usually many photos. I really hope that I have chosen the right one for you and that it is beautiful enough to enjoy?
Well, the story behind this photo might also be informative for you. Actually, I was out and about in the forests of Switzerland and my surroundings again, primarily to photograph squirrels, because I now knew very well where you could find them and at what time. But things usually turn out differently than you think and, as is so often the case out there in nature, you experience small or large surprises. Anyway, I saw squirrels and was able to photograph some very nicely, but the real star of the day was definitely the jay. Why? To my great surprise and even greater joy, the jay passed by several times where I was photographing the squirrels, or at least trying to haha..
This jay sat on a branch not very far from me and maybe watched me doing something strange. At least that's how it seemed to me and it didn't fly away straight away but stayed in the tree for a while before moving on. As if that wasn't enough, he kept coming back to me and the whole game started again. I was simply fascinated by this magnificent bird with its beautiful blue feathers on its side. What more could you expect from a day in the wild than such an amazing spectacle that you can then capture with your camera. There was just one thing that annoyed me a little: my wrong settings on my camera. I was probably a bit nervous and set the exposure time much too short because I now had a camera with image stabilization. In that sense, I could have halved the time and the ISO values would not have been so high. I can't change it now and I'm very happy despite everything because the really nice thing about it all was the great experience with the clever jay, which made me lose track of time that day.
The wonders of creation are so diverse that this beauty will never end. Creation is here. It is in you right now, it has always been. The world is a wonder. The world is magic. The world is love. And it is here, now.

The white feather was from a swan, collected a year ago on a beach. The "pearl' was a replacement from a bubble bead. Excuse the rough edge of the bead. The objects were placed on a glossy white glass.
This is part of my recent photo project “50 shades of grey". 50 different white objects of different materials, placed on white background, will be attempted. So far, my list has 25 objects. The intention of this project is to force me to pay attention to varying light and shadows, and most of all composition. Let's see how far I can go. This is also a test of my imagination:-)
Thanks for any inputs!
first butterfly of the year :)
thanks for the input on the hepatica colour yesterday, I had some trouble finding the natural colours for those flowers. I'm letting it rest for now.
Saturday was my first butterfly day of the year, sun shining, and the wind giving it a rest brought out the butterflies. I only had time to go one tour of the garden, and I did that with the 50mm, so no macro butterflies this time. They are harder to sneak up on now than in August. Now I'm hoping for more sunlight, flowers, butterflies & cameratime next weekend.

[...] The phrase "empty" is already a negation of itself, but one can not remain silent. The problem is to inform the silence, without leaving it. For this reason Zen avoids it as much as possible to take refuge in the language, and tries to make us penetrate behind the words that we speak - what is there - dig. Meister Eckhart does unstinting in his sermons.
He selects a few harmless words from the Bible and makes them a "home affairs" show that he experiences in his subconscious mind.
His idea is not in the words themselves, he turns them into instruments of his own intention.
Similarly, works with the Zen master of some things around him, including his own person, any trees, stones, sticks, etc He may then scream, hit or deal kicks. The main thing is it clear what is behind all these actions. In order to show that reality is "empty", he can stand still with hands folded over his chest. If him another question is asked, he might shake the tea plant, or go without a word of it or put the questioner a stick blow.
Sometimes the master of poetic and compares the spirit of the "emptiness" with the moon, it calls the "mind-moon" the moon or the Sun-safety-An old master of the Zen philosophy sings of the moon:
The moon is lonely and complete:
The light engulfs the ten thousand things
nor that the world exists of the things
Light, world, and things are gone,
and what remains - what is it?
The master leaves the question open. Would she answered, the moon would no longer there. Reality splits, and emptiness leads to emptiness.
We should not lose sight of the original moon, the primordial spirit-moon, and the master wants us to reflect on it, because with him we have started.
Emptiness is not empty space, it contains within itself infinite light, and all the diversity of the world, it absorbs it.
The Buddhist philosophy is the philosophy of "emptiness," the philosophy of self-identity. Self-identity is to be distinguished from mere identity.
For a mere identity, there are two objects that are found to be identical to each other, when there self-identity is only one object or subject, a single, and this one finds its identity by coming out of himself.
Self-identity thus includes movement. And we note: self-identity is Spirit, who goes out of itself, to see themselves mirrored in.
Self-identity is the logical substrate of pure knowledge, or of "emptiness".
In the self-identity, there are no contradictions. The Buddhists call it that So-heit. [...]

Hauptsache es wird klar, was hinter all diesen Handlungen steckt.
Selbst-Identität schließt also Bewegung ein.
