Hello
Having indicated I wasn’t going to title this shot my good Flickr friend Ela came up with a solution.
If you scroll down to her comment, she has kindly also put in a link to a performance by Sting and Rufus Wainwright.....
I am grateful for your input Ela. Thank you very much.
Thanks for visiting.
Have a good day out there.....

It seems that there was personal input from Sir Norman in the design of the Ilham Tower (ilham is Malay for "inspiration").

I submitted to be in this event not just in honor of family and friends past and present who have served but 4 guys whom I hope had it better than it appeared to a stranger.
- The old watcher of 34th who had half a jaw and silently watched unseen horrors day in and day out for years.
- The Native American Chief (as written on his leather jacket by him) who had impressive presence and dignity.
- The Tank Commander of the 22 city bus route, who continued driving that tank for years and shouting commands at the dang uncooperative passengers - I salute you one last time.
- To Guy no thats his name Guy with his metal plate funny jokes and helping me out one time.
I hope others remember them well or better, but this is my tribute to them.

This pond at the base of the Catherdral cliffs in the Shoshone National Forest is an unique wetland designated as a Special Botanical Area. The majority of the wetlands are in the Swamp Lake Fen which is a combination of marsh, forest and open water. Fens are peat-forming wetlands that rely on groundwater input. They require thousands of years to develop and cannot easily be restored once destroyed. Swamp Lake Fen is fed by ground water from the limestone Cathedral Cliffs which bound it on the south and are shown in the photo.. The resulting ground water is enriched with calcium carbonate and is alkaline (pH near or above 8). According to the US Forest Service, alkaline fens are rare and 19 Wyoming Species of Concern are listed at Swamp Lake. (See reference).

From childhood to youth and from youth to old age, humans strive to earn respect and admiration from others. We constantly seek validation, trying to prove ourselves worthy in the eyes of others. But the world remains unimpressed, never satisfied with our efforts.
If you're simple and genuine, the world mocks you, calling you naive or weak. If you're intelligent and insightful, it envies you, feeling threatened by your wisdom. If you keep to yourself, it labels you arrogant or aloof. If you're friendly and outgoing, it calls you a flatterer or people-pleaser.
In the end, you'll leave this world quietly, wondering what it was all about. You'll ask, "What was the point of this life?" And nobody will have the answer. We realize too late that true fulfillment comes from within, not from external validation.

Black-Crowned Night Heron / Nachtreiher (Nycticorax nycticorax)
I couldn't personally tell if this was a chick of the same species, or if it was of one of the Cattle Egret or Little Egret chicks also nesting nearby (ID inputs welcome!). What's for sure is that it had well and truly been turned into a meal by this stage and this Black-Crowned Night Heron was wrestling with how to consume it. In this specific frame, the chick's head has been attempted first and is fully tucked away inside the predator's mouth. The circle of life continues...

A perfect evening at the shores of the salty Salton Sea. It is nearly three hours away from San Diego but its a very different world altogether! There are several small beaches but we went to the farthest, the Bombay Beach. The small town is almost deserted as people couldn't take the stench of dead and decaying fish and sea life. The lake is evaporating and the salt content is rising yearly. Though very harsh, the fishes like tilapia do survive in large numbers and attract serious bird life. Perfect place for ornithologists!
These are the Great White American Pelicans, 80% of their western continental population could be found here in winters feeding on the plentiful fishes of the Salton Sea.
Thanks for your likes and comments! I highly appreciate it!

I have seen SO many grand works done with Wombo Dream that I decided to have a little tun with it. Each "scene" or work of art is created using words, generated by what is essentially an AI program! My input will always be somewhat strange, which is why I like these! Just getting a feel for it. The free version is pretty neat, and addictive, as well!

Early morning on Oviedo's Lake, Pedernales, Dominican Republic.
Lago de Oviedo, also known as Laguna de Oviedo, is a saltwater lake in Jaragua National Park, Pedernales Province, Dominican Republic. It is approximately 25 km2 in area, making it the second largest body of water in the Dominican Republic after Lake Enriquillo.
Although receiving freshwater from the Bahoruco Mountain Range, the lake is hypersaline due to sea water flowing into the lake through an underground system caused by a karstic depression. Salinity levels show seasonal changes due to precipitation, evaporation and the amount of freshwater input.
One of the most notable aspects of this lake is the greenish aspect of its water, caused by limestone sediments being dragged into the lake by the underground water flow.
Its unique flora and fauna are perhaps its most interesting feature; flamingos, Rhinoceros Iguana, mangroves, various species of endemic birds and several cays inside the lake are a common sighting.
