I took this image in a remote slot canyon near Kanab (no, it's not Peekaboo). I got to this spot right as a small light beam hit the wall just around the bend and reflected some gorgeous light onto the back wall. The effect only lasted a couple minutes. I found this canyon to be quite photogenic and it's a place we can take photo tours out to! The best part is you have this canyon all to yourself, unlike the more popular non-technical canyons in the area.
Inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions.

I photographed the interior of one of my ceramic glazed serving dishes for an abstract assignment. This didn't make the cut for the assignment as it was too large, but I loved this section of the bowl that was so magical. It reminded me of something that could be photographed by the Hubble satellite.

I went into the woods the other day without a single idea on what to take - a pet peeve of mine. However I began imagining this based on the horrible events which have happened up in Connecticut this past week.
When I heard, it felt as though my hard had stop. All those children - the teachers and staff. Why? Why would someone choose to act out of such evil?
But all of us, sitting with tears, watching the town recover from such monstrosity - we, together, can carry out so much good. It the time where we must become angels so that we may help heal what our fellow kind has fallen too - guide them from this darkness.
I thank my own angel for placing light within me for this idea.

Tiny flower known as Chicory. I have been chasing macros of this flower for many years. I find it to be unique, similar only to the Himalayan Blue Poppy, yet only one fifth its size. This scene is approx 4:1 macro. The area visible is less than one inch across. Most would walk past it without noticing, but it has a fascinating history.
The Blue Flower (German: Blaue Blume) is a central symbol of Romanticism. It stands for desire, love, and the metaphysical striving for the infinite and unreachable.
Took this picture on a recent trip to Victoria, Canada. It is a section of the inner harbour with the Empress Hotel in the background. They were doing some restoration work on the Empress Hotel so you will notice some scaffolding on the right side of the picture...Drats!
Note: The whale in the foreground is made out of Tiffany glass.

The inner-life of a keyhole that is broken out from an old wooden cupboard, still needs fixing (first I have to somehow connect to the door, not sure if I will do that with nails. This is how it came, there is a key and a hole in the door and the door can be pushed close, yet not be locked so this is another of my projects. The pin is part of the mechanism, not part of a key - the key itself has the matching hole for the pin. I think the cupboard (and this hole) is approx 100 years old.
