The moon that shines its beam so bright
Of stones that measure the silvery light
Of energy that travels here
It happens on the seventh year

A very tranquil and special place to spend an evening. Little did I know what chaotic scene awaited me at my car. A welcoming committee of two police cars, four policeman, two civilians, dogs and a host of bright lights. All of whom suspected that I was burgling the location that I'd parked my car outside ! Quite calmly I played the usual get of jail card with a quick thumb through the LCD to prove my whereabouts. "Ohhh those are interesting, how do you do that ?"
"Well, its like this........."
The civilian owners then apologised for inconveniencing and delaying ME !!!!!.
Perfect

Diestel, verblüht - angestrahlt von den letzten Strahlen der untergehenen Sonne
Distel, faded - lit by the last rays of the setting sun
You don’t see images of them all that often but, yes, there are slot canyons in Death Valley, some even constricted enough for reflected light shine down. This is the second of maybe three or four images I’ll eventually release from a quick January trip to Death Valley. One thing I focus on while shooting slot canyons is allowing lines, curves, textures, and/or light to take leading roles while deciphering a composition. I’ve found doing this, combined with the fact there is no horizon to adhere to, can lead to some interesting perspectives. The goal for this image was to create the sense that it was shot horizontally (as opposed to skyward as it actually was) and that the light was shining through the opening of a cave. I wanted the viewer to feel as though they could walk right on through if they so desired. The other thing I really enjoyed about shooting this canyon was the way light caught the large diameter stones embedded in the canyon walls -- a far different feel than the relatively smooth sandstone slot canyons found in Utah and N. Arizona. This was my last stop on the trip and it was the perfect way to round out a really fun trip.
Scenes like this one inspire a deep (and sometimes much needed!) sense of quiet and peace within me. The Smokies seem to have that effect on me perhaps more than any place I've traveled to. No matter how many times I go back, I seem to stumble upon images like this that just draw me in.
This view is from one of my favorite spots to see sunsets in the Smokies: Bunches Bald Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway (about 9.6 miles east of the intersection of 441 and the Blue Ridge Parkway).
Have a great holiday season,
Jeff

After a long day of rain, by the lake, as the sun breaks through just before hiding behind the horizon. That's where I find some kind of inner peace.
Today was a good day! Me and my best friend James are going out later to have a Yay-Rosie-is-finally-going-to-America-to-see-Aaron meal! I am hopefully going to drop philosophy after half term, and I may even be allowed to take portraits of people at school and friendship groups and sell them to fund my move to america next year! Being an international student means its illegal to work there, and I don't fancy making Aaron do all the work for us both/starving, so I'm trying to save as much as I can before I go.
This shot was really frustrating to do! I am STILL not used to my lights but I'm trying. It seemed impossible for me to take a photo where my shadow fitted onto the wall, I did not look obese and that most of my body wasn't blocking!
These were the best ones that came out, so I hope you guys like it.
1 DAY UNTIL I GO SEE MY AARON!!!! I am soooo excited!! I just hope I don't get too carried away and end up in mexico!
Leafy stock :)
The extremely tiny fuzzy center caught my eye. Very shallow DOF...Depth Of Flower. :) Shot wide open for fun.

What attracted me to this Dandylion was the yellow flower growing beneath it...I couldn't walk away without taking quite a few shots!!!!

The Inner Farne and its light house in the North Sea, off the coast at Bamburgh.
Bamburgh, Northumberland, United Kingdom
Almost 2 years ago I started a trainings program in real life.
20 to 30 minutes cardio and 15 to 30 minutes weights, 3 times each week.
In the beginning I needed to drag my lazy ass to the gym and did my routine reluctantly.
In time my lazy ass was shaped in to a smaller ass and going to the gym bacame part of my weekly routine.
Until the corona virus ... the routine killer on all levels.
But now the happy news is out !!
The first of July it is end of the lockdown for the gyms.
Time to get back in to shape and excersice the cobwebs out of my head.
4 Weeks to go, I can oversee this time, I got myself a spot on the horizon.
June is going to be a the kick of, I am going to start eating more healthy food.
I still can watch NetFlix but then without a bowl of sweets... can I ? YES I can !!

Walk alone, anywhere under
the sky and experience the place.
Connected to the place that is around
and inside me.
And to reflect myself by joining
all that is me – inside and out.
To be able to carry with me
myself as I have experienced that
second, that place – and safeguard.
And every given moment since
I can reflect on who I was
And be myself again.
