A wild day on the Northumberland dunes meant handholding while crouching low. The mainly blue sky and middle of the day was also a challenge but early February light helped and I loved the textures created by the wind through the marram grasses. B&W best summed up things up for me.
Evening falls and the moon rises over the Baltimore Inner Harbor. In frame here is the National Aquarium, the Baltimore World Trade Center, Power Plant, Lightship Chesapeake, and more. On this night we watched a Christmas parade of boats sail from Fells Point arround the Inner Harbor and back.
Ireland is being bashed by yet another storm with gales and heavy rain sweeping the country, but these alstroemerias are safe in my sittingroom.
There are two lighthouses on the South Pier at Grand Haven, Michigan USA. They mark the Grand River's entry to Lake Michigan. This is the "Inner Light" a 51 foot tower, built in 1905.
Many people walk out the pier for a great view of the frequently beautiful sunsets, or to fish. The lighthouses are not open to the public.
The much (by me especially!) photographed Hope Cement Works, on possibly the most beautiful morning I have ever witnessed. The inversion just seemed to glow with the reflected sunlight.

I was recently given one single dahlia blossom, the size of a dinner plate! While the giant blossom literally took my breath away - I looked into the middle of the flower and found its inner beauty even more lovely.
I took a walk down to the Inner Harbor last week after I was finished with jury duty. Luckily, I did not get picked and they let us out earlier than ususal! HWW!
