In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit. ~Albert Schweitzer
A White-tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) buck from Willacy County, Texas.
I chose the title, as this handsome young buck was looking to a potential challenger nearby, as if deciding to take him on or flee. I toyed with the idea of titling it "Impersonation", as, based on his antler structure, it looked like this whitetail buck was doing his best mule deer impression.
In the hour before sunrise, a full moon hanging over the Alaskan Inner Passage, fishing boats drifting in the current hoping for a bountiful catch. I was up early prowling the decks of our cruise ship looking for that award winning shot. I didn't get any awards, but I did get a few memories--the kind that I can relive through the ages from the photos.
It occurs to me that folks might not have the opportunity to experience moments like this for the foreseeable future as the Coronavirus has disrupted the cruise industry indefinitely. I hope you're all safe and out of harms way. Don't forget to wash those hands.

I love taking shots through train doors, but rarely get the chance. This was taken at Mordern, would like the play more with this kind of shot but only had a limited time here.

These roses fill one corner of the garden. The buds start out as a deep orange, and go through intense yellow, all the way to pale white.
When backlit, they seem to glow from within.

They say don't let them in
Close your eyes and clear your thoughts again
But when I'm all alone, they show up on their own
'Cause inner demons fight their battles with fire
Inner demons don't play by the rules
They say "Just push them down, just fight them harder
Why would you give up on it so soon?"
So angels, angels please just keep on fighting
Angels don't give up on me today
'Cause the demons they are there, they just keep biting
'Cause inner demons just won't go away
So angels please, hear my prayer
Life is pain, life's not fair
So angels please, please stay here
Take the pain, take the fear
They say it won't be hard, they can't see the battles in my heart
But when I turn away
The demons seem to stay
'Cause inner demons don't play well with angels
They cheat and lie and steal and break and bruise
Angels please protect me from these rebels
This is a battle I don't want to lose
So angels, angels please just keep on fighting
Angels don't give up on me today
'Cause the demons they are there, they just keep biting
'Cause inner demons just won't go away
So angels, angels please keep on fighting
Angels don't give up on me today
'Cause the demons they are there, they just keep biting
'Cause inner demons just won't go away
So angels please, hear my prayer
Life is pain, life's not fair
So angels please, please stay here
Take the pain, take the fear
First off, I just got up at 4:30 a.m. and watched the greatest hockey game ever played, not sure if the best team won, but I know mine did.... :)
Secondly, if you spend one minute looking at this, the jet that it was mounted on could have traveled 36 1/2 miles in that time. The SR 71.
And finally to my fellow aircraft mechanics out there, take some time to check out the safety wire, the guy was an artist.
"Inner Worlds #1" - Exploration of hidden places, unusual views and the unknown through macro photography in nature.
We all have an unsuspected
reserve of strength inside that
emerges when life puts us to the test.

Her inner moon...
Deep in the four corners of earth l am tenderness where my lens shines brightly in the darkness. As my inner voice grows stronger l become moon light my delicate skin echoing silk reflections glistening with the stars. As the birds sing their final hums, the sky's turn peach where l am the desert rose fading to nights shadows dancing shadows, my curves or grace in harmony with my inner music where freedom resides deep within you...
A message to all women in the world... Freedom resides deep within You!! You are precious, unique individuals !! Freedom of choice and expression is your human right. Sending love and light!!
I am thinking about humanity in art and the struggles many artists woman face in their art/ life. That ,pain we feel suffering real things that empower art the energy that moves resides deep within you that ignites it, We mustn't lose our essence, listen to your inner voice that helps you stay true and be free to express yourself as an artist creator an individual. This is precious!! It is important we stay true....

the last flower to appear on my balcony. It's a trumpet-shaped thing on a twisty vine; I'll have to search my files for the name, I do have it somewhere... Cheap thing from Lidl but it has lasted a long time.
