Image taken in Edinburgh in November 2023. I was amazed by the unique structures and findings inside this courtyard.

The Empress Hotel and Victoria's Inner Harbour during the Blue Hour.

I think it might be an alien egg. Trying new things thanks to Brando. Back out at summit park despite the rain making a solid orb inside the horizontal orb.

Towards the end, a mild draft... the pollen spills onto the tender petals.

They are so fragile...

I photographed the 'demise' of this beauty in the studio, look out for next!

Again a 'study!

Anemone coronaria is a species of flowering plant in the genus Anemone, native to the Mediterranean region.

This comp 'in camera'... just how I like it!

Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.

Being creative is not a choice... it is an urge in me.

Take care, be safe!

Have a wonderful day, filled with love and thank you for your ALL your comments and visits, so appreciated, M, (*_*)

She wanders and stumbles. Her mind racing with no direction. She opens her heart to find her inner peace has been there all along.

This rose reminds me of all of my wonderful friends. It has inner beauty. Such beauty is what really counts, it has gained maturity. Those with that inner beauty radiate it to others no matter what age does to them. But this doesn't mean all of my friends are 'old'. Just look at you!😎

“How strange that the nature of life is change, yet the nature of human beings is to resist change. And how ironic that the difficult times we fear might ruin us are the very ones that can break us open and help us blossom into who we were meant to be.”

In the style of Georgia O’Keeffe…

Nearing sunset an eastbound Ji Tong Railway freight approaches the west siding switch at Galadesitai, Inner Mongolia. The pair of QJ 2-10-2 locomotives have been drifting downgrade since cresting the grade at Shangdian some 20+ km distant. In the sub zero temps the ever present high winds are pushing the steam sideways as they prepare to stop for a meet here with a westbound. The windchills were nearing the -40F range resulting in real fun times using film and getting frostbite marks where the frozen camera body touched your face . . .

Words are a pretext. It is the inner bond that draws one person to another, not words.

The sun was waning as the lights came on at this impressive Provincial government center.

"The purpose of the buildings is to serve as the seat of B.C.’s provincial government. It is here that important decisions are made regarding the province on matters such as health, education, transportation, and housing.

The Parliament Buildings are located on the banks of the Inner Harbour in British Columbia’s capital city, Victoria. As one of the dominant features of the downtown core, B.C.’s government buildings are one of Victoria’s must-see sights, teeming with history and culture. They reside on 12.5 acres of lush property. The Empress Hotel is nearby.

Staying in the area until sun sets is highly recommended. The Parliament Buildings will eventually light up with approximately 3500 energy efficient lightbulbs, highlighting the striking outline of the structure, and making for a great photo opportunity.

Incredibly, the original idea for the lightbulbs was first brought to life in 1897 when the buildings were first completed. This was a time when electricity was still a novel phenomenon. While fewer than there are today, the lightbulbs were strung in honour of Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee, as they were supposed to look like diamonds shining brightly in the darkness. The idea was brought back in the 1960s, and since then, the buildings have been lit every single evening at dusk." victoriabc.ca

When looking into deep woods, some things are clear and others are mysterious. I love looking into the deep woods.

We all have some of that special magic inside of us...no matter what colour it may be!

This photo is a small celebration of mine for being accepted into the 2019 Mr and Miss Pride Pageant today, I've been very worried about showing that side of myself and today it feels like a boost to embrace it more often, even if some have left me in the dust because of it it is not me who has lost. But instead I am more free without having to hide myself around certain people or being looked down on or even being treated like it prevents me from being in a relationship. This past month has been rough but today is a win in my book. I have pride in myself and confidence I can do my best!

I had a couple of songs that made me smile while I was editing this I hope you enjoy them!

This one for the Macro Monday theme "Fill the frame" didn't make it into the group.

A rainy night in the City. Aimless taxis rubber by on rain slick streets, spraying fusillades of water on the wraithlike beings who inhabit the wee hours. Street lamps cast amber light reflections on the wet black asphalt. Poetry is born on urban nights like these.

Location: a very dark and soggy corner of my mind.

Image imagined in MidJourney AI and finished with Topaz Studio 2.0 and Lightroom Classic.
