The main lighthouse for Wollongong Harbour is about 200 metres behind me, but today even the light marking the entrance to the Inner Harbour was witnessing some impressive waves.
Last week Jerry repaired these four items for me. When I researched the dressers I discovered they were made in the 1930's. The one on the left is 29" high, whoa that's big! I bought the dressers at The August Sale. Somewhere along time they have been spray painted white and the mirror on the left replaced. I wonder how they looked originally. They would have certainly had sweet decals. I would love to give them a more vintage look. Anyone have ideas on how to do that? What would your inner child put in the drawers? And where will Rita find a place to put them?
The little jewelry box I rescued as my daughter was getting rid of it. I imagine that a dolly was given the jewelry box by her grandmother. It is filled with her grandmother's treasures: a valentine from her husband, a bit of lace tatting, a hanky, a heart locket and......what would you put in it?
The cake was missing the dowel/stand which originally was either a cake riser or glow in the dark candles. Our friend turned the platform while Jerry drilled the holes and glued in the dowels. Now I need to paint it. What color would you paint it? The top layer of the cake opens , holding different icings and numbers to celebrate those special early child years.
Oh my, so many pieces. Background is space imagery, right side triangle is made up of moon imagery, the smaller left side triangle is made of mountain imagery, and white area leading to the shape are galaxies.

Just some of the inner workings of this guy. Those first two visors are simply connected by a rigid hose and the last by some technic. All of this is based off of the smallest HF Torso.
I've got some more pictures of this guy. It seemed you guys liked him, but I just recently got him back from the convention circuit. Anyways, I hope you like him.

Once again, the HDR Collaboration team came up with a nice variety of results given a single set of brackets! Players this week are Mike "Theaterwiz" Criswell, Jim Denham, Mark Garbowski, Jacques Gudé, Scott Frederick, Bob Lussier, and myself, Rob Hanson.
For the complete story on this image, and to see the range of possibilities when seven people process the same set of brackets, please be sure to visit the HDR Collaboration blog post.
The weather is very nice here today (warm with a mild breeze). One more set to do and then it would be time to leave work for the day, Yea! I never do flower pictures so I'm not so good at them, but I kind of like this one... I hope you like it too.
I hope you're having a beautiful day as well.
One of my first attempts at water droplet photography......
Sincere thanks to friend Bertie Bassett for showing me the technique to achieve results like this image here. The water droplet seen rising is actually inside the bubble. Fascinating subject to photograph as you never quite know what you will get. Hope you like!

Salobreña is a small-sized town located on Granada’s Costa Tropical. Two main parts may be distinguished in Salobreña. The old town is a cluster of white houses in an actual maze narrow streets, allies, and small squares that sits on a rocky prominence inland. The remains of a medieval Moorish castle that tops the hill is arguably the best known tourist attraction in Salobreña. Spreading from the bottom of the old town along the coastline, there is an aggregate of hideous new developments that house tens of thousands of visitors every summer.
El Peñón de Salobreña is a rock formation situated between two of the five beaches of the municipality. Jutting more than one hundred meters into the Mediterranean Sea, it provides an assortment of vantage points perched on its rough slopes from where sunsets can be enjoyed at its fullest.
Even though I have spent most of my summer vacations and frequent weekends in Salobreña for many years, I did not seem to truly appreciate its beauty at the time. I believe some time and distance were needed for me to develop a deeper appreciation for what I still consider home.
Baltimore Inner Harbor
Shot from Federal Hill on a really calm and still night (around 10 pm) at the same location as my previous panorama at dawn. I love the way the clouds show up at night. The 50 mm lens worked really well with the long exposure and just the right focal length for this shot.
This is that part of a Chinarose flower that we hardly observe very closely with detail. But it has its own beauty...or you can say that it's the inner beauty of the flower.
