lots & lots of ink! just to make sure that if something went wrong, it wasn't because of a lack of ink.
i think their ink caps anyway, some of the older ones had already started dripping. they were to far gone to be pretty though....oh and while i was taking photos i managed to sit down right on an old one lol...nice big ink stain on the bum of my pants lol

I'm playing with blue ink and wash.
Using the ink pad to color the card stock, to be used as a mat on the card. This gives it a leather-like look.

Last night ink & peat, a home decor and flower shop, had their grand opening party. I went with a few friends, and it was far too dreamy for me to handle -- incredible food, gorgeous plants and flowers, and, oh, the light from the west streaming in through the shop's floor-to-ceiling windows. For some reason, I didn't bring my camera, which I am totally kicking myself for. Generally speaking, I'm not much for shopping, or owning things I don't need, but this shop is just too good. The owner, Pam, has the most amazing taste, and I want to buy everything.

So here’s two inks I did in Adobe Illustrator. These two were seperate drawing on two different piece of copy paper. In both drawings there’s things I don’t like and something I like! I didn’t look at my model sheet but they don’t look to off. I did fix the legs in the sketch though.
Sorry about the lack of shading. I screwed up in the program and it just wanted to finish this. I mean it doesn’t look that bad without it but I really want the shadows. Oh well you learn from your mistakes. I’ll just draw in the shadow lines and cover them up in my next ink! Oh and this is an outfit I actually wear.
The next one is going to be summer themed and a spin-off of an old suntan ad ;).
Only a plastic strip holds the cartridges together. There is minimal waste when compared to older HP ink-jets we have tested.

Mixed Media
This Piece is mixed media, including ink, acrylics and computer graphics. The original design was first drawn on paper, then it was traced over onto three sheets of acetate film with a number 4 technical pen and a straightedge. The three films were then flipped over and acrylic ink was dabbed on with a paintbrush to make a solid color on the other edge with the ink on it. this is the same technique that cartoons used to be made with, called cell animation. The background was composed in Adobe Photoshop using various images of a roller coaster called Millenium Force, which I photographed this past summer. The collage of images were printed out and taped to the back of the film, with a quarter of an inch separation from foam core spacers. The frame is made from mat board, tempera paint and some computer graphics.
The piece represents one of the most subjects of my dreams since 2002, Millennium Force at Cedar Point in Ohio. My obsession with roller coasters started when I was ten years old I rode this ride, which is 310 feet tall and 93 miles per hour, explaining the numbers in the second panel. The pictures are all off ride views; however the picture that makes up the background of the far right panel is of inside the station of the ride. In my dreams I have only made it to the station of the ride. I can recall hundreds of dreams I have had about Millennium Force, but not one in which I actually board the ride. Riding Millennium force was, to me, an experience even my dreams can't create.
