The Pont de Bir Hakeim is a two level bridge built in the early 20yh century, formarly called Pont de Passy. Some of you may recognize it from the dream building scene in the movie Inception.

Walking Hong Kong at night is fun! We went to the "monster building" in Quarry Bay on Hong Kong island after dinner. This is an older building in a W-shape.
I got feedback of inception on my previous image in Macau. Here is the real deal: I rotated the image to produce this inception.
I processed a photographic and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, merged them, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

With so many canals and rivers, the Netherlands has more than its share of bridges. Some of them have this impressive drawbridge feature to allow taller boats to pass through. While stuck behind this one waiting for the boat to pass, I couldn't help but be reminded of some of the folding city scenes of the movie, Inception.

The Bir Hakeim bridge in Paris became even more famous after being featured in the 'Inception' movie.
I was in Helsinki for a meeting and as most of times, I had my a6000 with me. A puddle of water caught my eye. I stopped and waited for a punctum, and soon she walked by. I rather like this one myself.
(I've received a few questions about whether this photo is a composite or a single exposure; it's a single exposure photograph with fairly basic post processing. It's not a composite image or "Photoshop trickery".)
The name was a moment's inspiration. Something about the perspective of the image, the movie of the same name, the baby carriage and hence the synonyms for inception: birth, dawn, genesis.
Nothing is what it seems. What are you looking at? ......Thanks for your visit and your favs or comments!

Last June we headed to Chur, a regional capital in the Swiss Alps. We met our niece at the local art museum for coffee.
I processed a paintery, and a balanced HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
