Eating lunch on the way down from Dead Woman's pass on the 2nd day of the trek. Basically we work our tans while the porters unpack chairs and tables (!!) for us and then cook lunch... (so, ya, we tipped them)
Following the ancient Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, we will pass through mysterious archaeological sites, environments covered by vegetation, which create the impression that they are being discovered for the first time, to finally reach the lost city of the Machu Picchu Incas. The Classic 4-Day Inca Trail is renowned worldwide, attracting people from many countries, because it includes visiting wonderful Inca archaeological sites, seeing wonderful landscapes all the way and finally the arrival at one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, Machu Picchu.
The stream looks nice and clear. Anyway, our guide advised us against drinking unboiled water. So we always carried some bottled or previously boiled water. In the first day we had about a liter per person, but it turned out we were not great water drinkers, so we decreased the volume to less than a liter for both of us. We also carried 'Micropur' tablets to purify water if needed, but never used them.
