Wiñay Wayna, whose name means "always young", was only discovered in 1942 by Julio C. Tello, 31 years after Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu is a 15th-century Inca site located 7,970 ft above sea level.
It is located in the Cusco Region, Urubamba Province.
Most archaeologists believe that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti.
The Inca Trail is definitely not an easy trek - the saying is: "You're not as fit as you think you are". Almost all trekkers will have a tough time at some point during the journey. Wake up at 5am everyday, leave at 6am and hike until the sun sets. And it's freezing at night. It rains a lot too. Your body will ache. I discovered most of it is mental, so as long as you have the determination & high spirits, you'll make it! The views are impeccable, the history is amazing, and it's an experience I'll never forget.
