Me at the signpost for Dead Woman's pass - if you can't read the writing it says the elevation is 4,215 meters (or about 13,828 feet for the Americans out there). A couple people had to take oxygen treatment to actually catch their breath up here.

Looking back at the cloud covered Mount Veronica (18,641ft, 5,682m) - I kept hoping the clouds would clear and I would get that perfect shot but this was about the best I could do. It really was beautiful, though - and at least it wasn't raining anymore!

 

The trail rises pretty quickly for awhile here - I thought this part was hard... until Day 2.
