Small rustic restaurant in Mollepata served as our launching point. We had our breakfast there (not included into trek meals). Mollepata became starting point for Salcantay trek rather recently, due to some natural damage to the old trek. I think after time passes local people better adapt the environment to tourists, but I always feel this kind of adaptation as a downside, not a benefit.
