From a trip to Washington State. These classic glass Coca Cola bottles caught my eye; especially with Seattle printed on them.

Light refraction on some bubbles.

I took this shot for the Flickr Friday theme of 'Bubbles'.

I made up a soapy solution from some washing up liquid in a plastic box and used an egg holder that came with my fridge to agitate the water and create the bubbles.

I then put the solution on a window sill and rotated it until the light caught the bubbles.

Sometimes, we need to break past the obvious and see things beyond the scope of our immediate perspectives. "We are taught to ignore sadness, to stuff it down into our satchels and pretend it isn’t there. As adults, we often have to learn to hear the clarity of its call. This is wintering. It's the active acceptance of sadness. It is the practice of allowing ourselves to feel it as a need. It is the courage to stare down the worst parts of our experience and to commit to healing them the best we can. Wintering is a moment of intuition, our true needs felt keenly as a knife. We are in the habit of imagining our lives to be linear, a long march from birth to death in which we mass our powers, only to surrender them again, all the while slowly losing our youthful beauty. This is a brutal untruth. Life meanders like a path through the woods. We have seasons when we flourish and seasons when the leaves fall from us, revealing our bare bones. Given time, they grow again."

The drudgery of waiting. I’m just creating a bit of a surreal mood here. I’m perfectly fine over here and am having fun over processing this photo to the max.

(87/365) I sprinkled some mustard seeds on damp paper in a ramekin. A week later this is the result. They make a tasty, nutritious addition to salads & so easy to grow on a kitchen windowsill, just don't let them dry out HGGT!

River Lark river walk

Foremark Reservoir in Derbyshire is a 230 acre nature reservoir managed in partnership by Severn Trent and The National Trust. It's also part of the National Forest. It's supplied with water from the River Dove at Egginton. The reservoir was built in the early 1970’s to support Leicester’s water demand. Foremark is a vital link in the water supply network for the East Midlands. From the bottom of the draw-off tower, the raw water, as it is called before cleaning, is pumped to Staunton Harold Reservoir four miles away for conversion into drinking water at Melbourne Treatment Works.

Foremark's environment supports a rich diversity of wildlife with over 200 species of birds, 27 species of butterflies and 300 species of moths recorded on site.

It has a 3 mile (5 km) circular trail near Swadlincote, Derbyshire. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 14 min to complete. The reservoir is 100 foot deep with a water volume of 2,900 million gallons.

"Japan is called the "land of the rising sun" because from China it appears that the sun rises from the direction of Japan. The Japanese people call their country "Nippon" or "Nihon," which literally translated means "source of the sun." It is loosely translated into English as "land of the rising sun."

My male dog enjoy the sun and feel free.

Today 14.02.2023 on Fluidr: # 493 > 459

Wishing everyone a happy Christmas.

It wasn't until yesterday that I installed this piece of decoration in my new appartment. I inherited it from my granny, a caravan of elephants handmade of wood originating from Africa, I have no idea of how old it is. Unfortunately it is partly broken and pcs are missing. Have to see if I can fix it one day.

An early rise to catch this Marble White covered with the the morning dew drops in some beautiful light.
