We adopted a few hens a couple of years ago. They’re very happy in their luxurious hen house. The hens aren’t laying now but are loving their retirement. Taken with the Apple iPhone. HSOS!

Place Marcel Aymé

Paris / Quartier Montmartre

EN: Bronze statue celebrating the writer Marcel Aymé, one of whose fantastic novels entitled "Le passe-muraille" and published in 1943, tells the story of a man who has the power of passing through the walls and who, in the end, remains stuck inside one of them. Dream, then nightmare…

Sculpture by the actor and artist Jean Marais (1989), representing Marcel Aymé himself.

Hubby had noticed a broken wasp cocoon Wednesday evening but there was still a wasp flying around it. By last night however there was no wasp only the broken cocoon.

Tentatively I took it out from our bag of kindling wood where it had been and found this in what had been the roof of the cocoon. The larvae were still alive and moving around. Couldn’t quite believe how delicate the cocoon was, it’s as fine tissue paper but far more brittle. Needless to say I was in my element with the macro lens, until the light went.

A welcomed change from flowers !

Thanks for stopping

May this summer brings lots of happiness to your life. Wish you have a great summer.

Impara a stare calmo. Non tutto merita una reazione.

Learn to stay calm. Not everything deserves a reaction.

Lying in the grass, wiggling with my toes – the sky above me, following the clouds, listening to the birds and the bees around me, dreaming – that's pure relaxation for me ;-)

During my shots of the Ferris wheel in the setting sun, an elderly couple appeared on the embankment who stopped under the wheel and looked up. At that exact moment, the lighting in the middle switched to a heart.
