Sometimes your only glimpse of a bird is when it gets between you and the sun. Thankfully some detail was still visible from the reflected glow of the pale bark lighting up the soft yellow front of this Eastern Yellow Robin.
Taken in the Valley Lake Conservation area in Mount Gambier, South Australia.
On the 3rd day of my journey south I pulled over to let those in a hurry pass by and to take a moment to feel where I was.
Dimly lit forests make such good subjects for my Slow Shutter app ... and this one was particularly dark and creepy.
There was only one, much overused (by me), but somehow completely appropriate tune to put to it.

In some of the first sunrays of the day CP 40B makes its way out of Minnesota City on the River Sub. This was a great chase that began up by Kellogg, MN and ended at Nahant Yard in Davenport, Iowa for about a total of 300 miles.

This is part of the sea defences in Glen Mooar. Its a zigzag line of posts to help slow or prevent long-shore drift. It seems to be effective but it is only one of many that are needed to do the job effectively. Over the years that this has been there it has trapped quite a few boulder and survived many storms. Pity its on its own and there's no will or money to make more!
Another Awesome image of this wonderful Hoverfly as it approaches a Mexican Heather Blossom in our front yard. I am very surprised about the clarity and sharpness of this wonderful capture of "In Coming". Hope Y'all like it enjoy my friends.

So it’s supposed to be autumn, or at least the weather has suggested it to be so for several weeks now with this continued rain. A brief dry period over the weekend enabled me to look at what was worth taking a photo of in the garden. To my surprise I found several strawberries, yes I know! They are unlikely to ripen to eat but they make an interesting subject in my books at least to photograph.

Loquats are unusual among fruit trees in that the flowers appear in the autumn or early winter, and the fruits are ripe at any time from early spring to early summer. The flowers have a sweet, heady aroma that can be smelled from a distance.
his was captured late in the day as the black bellied whistling duck was about to touch down. Lighting can make things so magical but the window is so small. I timed it one time and I think I had about 20 minutes !!

- Trinidad is located on the Caribbean coast, Province of Sancti Spiritus, south-central Cuba. Founded in 1514, this Colonial Town is a Unesco World Heritage site since 1988. I confess that I was keeping my distance in this back part of the city, trying to be as unobtrusive as possible, not wanting to act like an intruder, but rather burn a memory of these brave people.
- Trinidad est situé sur la côte des Caraïbes, dans la province de Sancti Spiritus, centre-sud de Cuba. Fondée en 1514, cette ville coloniale est un site du patrimoine mondial de l'Unesco depuis 1988. J'avoue que je gardais mes distances dans cette partie de l'arrière-ville, en m'efforçant d'être le plus discret possible, ne voulant pas agir comme un intrus, mais plutôt graver un souvenir de ces braves gens.

Fundada en 1514, esta ciudad colonial es un Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la Unesco desde 1988.
