~ In the pines, in the pines, where the sun never shines
I shivered the whole night through ~
The song can let you shiver too.

IN HIGH PLACES Mike Oldfield
"Look down from in high places
Lift off the ground without a sound, yeah
We move through open spaces
The wind, it pulls The sky gets close, yeah
Could we get much higher?
Could we get much lighter?
Navigator to heaven"
So it’s supposed to be autumn, or at least the weather has suggested it to be so for several weeks now with this continued rain. A brief dry period over the weekend enabled me to look at what was worth taking a photo of in the garden. To my surprise I found several strawberries, yes I know! They are unlikely to ripen to eat but they make an interesting subject in my books at least to photograph.
Thanks for stopping

these things matter most:
How well did you love?
How fully did you live?
How deeply did you let go?

The loquat is a large evergreen shrub or tree also cultivated as an ornamental plant. Loquats are unusual among fruit trees in that the flowers appear in the autumn or early winter, and the fruits are ripe at any time from early spring to early summer. The flowers have a sweet, heady aroma that can be smelled from a distance.
his was captured late in the day as the black bellied whistling duck was about to touch down. Lighting can make things so magical but the window is so small. I timed it one time and I think I had about 20 minutes !!
Wishing you all a wonderful and blessed evening !!

North Queensferry sits on the Firth of Forth beneath the beautiful and famous Forth Bridge.
In this evening shot, the constellation Orion is clearly visible.
North Queensferry is bounded by two sites of special scientific interest (SSSIs), one being the shoreline of the Firth of Forth, an SSSI for its entire extent on both north and south shores, and the other the Carlingnose Point Nature Reserve. The Forth shoreline is an SSSI both on account of its geology and its biological habitats, such as its mudflats which support numerous species of sea birds, many of which are to be seen and heard in and around North Queensferry. Carlingnose is designated on account of its exceptional plant life. The rare dropwort, field gentian and bloody cranesbill are all found here, along with some notable species of millipede and centipede. The reserve is also a good place to observe sea birds; fulmars nest on the old quarry cliffs at the north side of the reserve. Killer whales or orcas have been known to come up the Firth of Forth as far as Queensferry and have been observed from the coastal path which passes through the reserve. [Wikipedia}

The Tiradentes Palace (built in 1922) is located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was the old building of the Brazilian National Congress, between 1926 and 1960, and is the current seat of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

This male Wren was in full song and claiming his territory on my local patch the other day. It's a good time to photograph Wrens at the moment as the vegetation hasn't grown up yet and they're quite showy.
Looking along the coast from Barrowmouth in Whitehaven on the Cumbrian coast, we have a wonderful coastline on a clear day we can see the coast of Scotland and The Isle Of Man from here.

Passing train in U-Bahnhof Münchner Freiheit.
Within a very short time, the Münchner Freiheit U-Bahn station has gone from being a somewhat dingy public transportation hub to a showroom of modern architecture. The U-Bahn area is looking spiffy thanks to Ingo Maurer's lighting concept.
