Women gathered to protest against the current spate of incidents of violence against women and children in Sri Lanka. The protest was organised by Women for Women. The protest was held at Lipton Circus on 20th July 2012. Women demanded the authorities to take immediate action and bring the perpetrators to justice, rather than making inappropriate comments!

Judicial and law enforcement officials have sporadically implemented the two-year-old law supporting the equality and rights of Afghan women, and the Government has not yet succeeded in applying the law to the vast majority of cases of violence against women.

Britten recently headed up a large project that combined site surveys, hardware, print, and installation at several different Vail resorts across the country.
Following the on-site analysis at each resort (which was conducted in 6 different states in the span of a week), recommendations were made for specifically sized BannerStretchâ„¢ tensioned frames, silicone-edged fabric frames, and decal applications in other instances. Design templates were provided for each location and a unique piece of artwork was provided for every individual piece of media.

implementation of NDCs in Mediterranean countries Plenary Session 1
This session will be an introductory session to the Sixth Mediterranean Forest Week and present the current situation regarding the role of Mediterranean forests in global commitments (including targets on LDN and Aichi targets) and the role of LULUCF in implementing the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) of the Mediterranean countries.
Using a concrete example, this session will show how the three Rio Conventions can be complementary
The Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), is hosting the Sixth edition of the Mediterranean Forest Week (VIth MWF) at the Grand Hills Hotel, Broumana, on 1–5 April 2019. The weeklong event brings together policy and decision makers, forest administrators, researchers, practitioners, donors, civil society organizations, and social and environmental based non–governmental organizations to share and promote the use of forest–based solutions to assist Mediterranean countries in the implementation of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.
