In Djibouti, UNEP together with the Ministry of Urbanism, Habitat and Environment and several other partners are reducing the vulnerability to climate change by restoring various types of ecosystems, along with their associated benefits, such as water sources and flood protection. This project is regenerating degraded Acacia woodlands and mangroves, while building infrastructure to combat floods and droughts, including boreholes in dry areas and a dyke in a flood-prone urban zone.

As part of the implementation of its national SME development strategy, the Government of the DRC obtained a loan from the International Development Association (IDA) to finance the "Support Project for the Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises", PADMPME.
Created in 2005, following the evaluation forum of the Congolese Women's Caucus, CAFCO is a platform of women from civil society and political parties committed to the promotion of women's specific human rights and the protection of the population's welfare.
The first week of October 2022, UN Women gave business registers to the first cohort of women who volunteered for formalization with the support of CAFCO. The event took place in the Mont Ngafula commune in Kinshasa.

Créé en 2005, suite au forum d'évaluation du Caucus des femmes congolaises, CAFCO est une plateforme de femmes de la société civile et des partis politiques engagés dans la promotion des droits humains spécifiques des femmes et la protection du bien-être de la population.
La première semaine d'octobre 2022, ONU Femmes a remis des registres commerciaux à la première cohorte de femmes qui se sont portées volontaires pour la formalisation avec le soutien de CAFCO. L'événement a eu lieu dans la commune de Mont Ngafula à Kinshasa.

With no agricultural background, Dr. Panda has developed unique natural bonsai in his Vijnana Bana Ashram which also shows path for earning just by uprooting and nurturing the plants which are found to be small and thumb in nature.
Dr. Panda's Scientific Endeavour and research is no doubt praise worthy. One cannot but believe his dedicated effort in simple innovation laboratory.
Social service, innovation/ inventions, writing, free technology to students for preparation of science exhibition projects, free technology to common men for their sustainability, preparation of big natural bonsai, technology for entrepreneurs and industrialists for innovative item are few works of Mihir Kumar Panda after his Government service.
. To overcome the difficulties of science and math, explanation in classes, innovator Panda has created few thousands of educational, societal and scientific innovations which helps teachers and students of the country and abroad.

Cuenca.- Con el objetivo de apoyar a la población en situación de vulnerabilidad y conocer los protocolos de seguridad que han implementado las industrias para continuar laborando durante la emergencia, el vicepresidente Otto Sonnenholzner visitó tres cantones de Azuay.
En estos recorridos también participaron el ministro de Inclusión Economía y Social, MIES, Iván Granda, el gobernador Xavier Martínez y varios representantes locales.
En Cuenca, las autoridades estuvieron en la empresa familiar de productos lácteos Nutrileche, que durante la emergencia sanitaria continuó trabajando con más de 175 trabajadores. Para ello, han implementado medidas, como el uso de uniformes de bioseguridad, toma de temperatura, entre otros aspectos de higiene y desinfección.
Así mismo, recorrieron la línea de producción Ecoline de Fibroacero, industria de fabricación de cocinas, cocinetas, tanques de gas y congeladores. En Cuenca, rigen las disposiciones de semáforo amarillo, razón por la que esta fábrica de 412 empleados, opera con el 50% de su personal. Todos laboran con el equipamiento de seguridad necesario, además se les ha proporcionado un instructivo para sus familias frente a la pandemia y kits de mascarillas, gel, alcohol y cloro.
El Vicepresidente destacó que “sirven como ejemplo para laborar cuidando la salud del personal. Necesitamos rápidamente reactivar algunos sectores para mantener el empleo y generar ingresos”, aseguró.
Además, con el objetivo de analizar estrategias para la reactivación económica y evaluar las acciones tomadas hasta el momento, el segundo mandatario mantuvo una reunión con los presidentes de la Cámara de Comercio de Cuenca, Fernando Romero; de la Cámara de Industrias, Producción y Empleo, Diego Malo y de la Cámara de la Pequeña Industria del Azuay, Fernando Romero.
“Ha sido una reunión productiva, es momento de trabajar en esta nueva normalidad arrimando todos el hombro, por ello ratificamos nuestro apoyo”, manifestó Malo.
Actualmente, en el Parque Industrial de esta ciudad, más de 100 empresas volvieron a laborar manteniendo cerca de 12 mil puestos de trabajo, confirmó, por su parte, Romero.
El gobernador Xavier Martínez dio a conocer que “se han coordinado las acciones interinstitucionalmente para iniciar nuevamente con las actividades productivas y continuar entregando víveres a los ciudadanos”.
La jornada continuó junto a las brigadas de los ministerios de Salud e Inclusión, quienes brindan atención integral a las familias más vulnerables en todo el país. Esta vez, llegaron a Gualaceo, en el sector Bullcay, barrio El Asentamiento y Antonio Vera Guanaco, donde se entregaron 800 kits de alimentos; otros 500 se destinaron a familias de Jardines de Paute y 700 a los habitantes de Los Pinos Altos en Cuenca. En este último lugar, el Hospital Universitario del Río donó 50 pruebas rápidas para detección de anticuerpos.
También en Guachalapa, el MIES benefició a los moradores con 200 kits de víveres. En total, en esta jornada se entregaron alrededor de 2.200 raciones alimenticias. Según detalló esta cartera de Estado, en Azuay, 57.443 kits han sido otorgados a los azuayos.
“Estamos acompañando a las brigadas de salud y alimentación para revisar que la ciudadanía esté bien y darles una ayuda para que puedan sostener el aislamiento por más tiempo”, enfatizó el vicemandatario. Además, escuchó las necesidades de los habitantes, “entendemos la situación porque es difícil mantenerse en aislamiento, pero tenemos que seguir avanzando, cumpliendo las medidas y con la certeza de que el principal enemigo es el COVID-19”, explicó.
En este contexto, el ministro Granda comentó que desde el Gobierno se han implementado varias estrategias, “hemos atendido a los ecuatorianos con bonos de asistencia social que ampliaron su cobertura y beneficia a cerca de 1.950 mil familias y la protección del empleo. En este tema, Cuenca ha sido constante y emprendió un proceso ordenado para lograr un equilibrio entre productividad y bioseguridad, 118 comercios cuencanos están reiniciando sus actividades”, dijo.
Una de las beneficiarias, Blanca Tigre, manifestó su agradecimiento por la ayuda entregada, “estamos contentos con la llegada del segundo mandatario, me dio valor para realizarme la prueba. Pedimos que se cuide para que siga luchando contra la pandemia”, finalizó.

Combating waste trafficking demands international cooperation and a high-level of scientific expertise (to analyse the composition of waste, for instance). This is primarily the task of customs and port authorities, but initiatives for broader cooperation are developing, such as the European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law (IMPEL), which controls shipments in major European ports.

Na quarta-feira (1º/3), gestores e trabalhadores da Rede de Urgência de Contagem e região metropolitana participaram de um seminário de avaliação do Suporte Intermediário de Vida (SIV). Organizado pela gestão do Samu Contagem, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (SMS), o evento marcou o primeiro ano da implementação do serviço na rede. O encontro, que ocorreu no auditório da Una Contagem, teve como objetivo discutir sobre o modelo assistencial vigente, bem como os futuros desafios.
O Samu Regional Contagem, responsável pelo atendimento pré-hospitalar de Contagem, Ibirité e Sarzedo, com aproximadamente um milhão de habitantes, teve reconhecida a importância do suporte intermediário, implementado em março de 2022, sendo o primeiro SIV do estado de Minas Gerais.
Presente ao seminário, o secretário de Saúde, Fabrício Simões, afirmou o compromisso de Contagem continuar a promover uma melhora assistencial para a população. “Estamos fazendo um balanço sobre esta estratégia do município, que é a utilização do SIV, dentro da política do Samu, o que tem dado muito certo, visto que, ele tem suprido muito bem a assistência à população, visto os resultados. Fato é que o Ministério da Saúde (MS) tem ficado atento ao que acontece em Contagem e, diante disso, precisamos pensar numa mudança da própria legislação, por que dentro da política nacional do Samu, esse tipo de unidade ainda não está sendo composta. Assim, o município arca com esta estratégia, acreditando em seus benefícios. Queremos que essa medida, iniciada em Contagem, sirva de exemplo e possa ser implementada no Brasil inteiro”.
A diretora do Samu Contagem, Luciana Felisberto, ressaltou a importância do seminário, uma vez que o SIV é um suporte inovador, um modelo assistencial que tem a crescer no Brasil. “O seminário é extremamente importante para a gestão de Contagem e para os trabalhadores que estão aqui, a fim de sensibilizá-los para um modelo assistencial que seja mais adequado ao paciente crítico. É uma forma de repensar como foi o ano de trabalho do SIV, para onde temos que caminhar, qual o nosso maior desafio hoje e para o futuro”.
Suporte Intermediário de Vida - SIV
Em fevereiro de 2022, com a necessidade de garantir segurança assistencial e a ampliação do acesso, o Conselho Federal de Enfermagem (Cofen) normatizou o Suporte Intermediário de Vida (SIV).
A ambulância, nomeada SIV 01, custeada com recursos municipais, fica locada no distrito Sede, onde atende os três municípios e tem se mostrado cada vez mais eficaz no atendimento de vítimas de parada cardiorespiratória, engasgo, AVC, crise convulsiva, dentre outros acometimentos de saúde que necessitam de amparos avançados de enfermagem.
Ainda de acordo com a Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS), as ações de enfermagem avançadas melhoram o acesso do usuário aos serviços de saúde.
A superintendente de Urgência e Emergência e Gestão Hospitalar, Karina Taranto, explicou que o encontro é fundamental, visto a necessidade de apresentar essa estratégia. “Na urgência tem-se o acesso garantido de porta aberta, a quem precisar, a qualquer momento, independente de onde esteja. Contagem tem desempenhado esse papel e o SIV vem para evidenciar isso. Estamos seguindo um modelo e desenhando uma proposta, que já é conhecida por outros serviços - mas ainda não por outros estados de Minas Gerais -, que é o futuro da qualificação assistencial de serviço pré-hospitalar. Esse momento de debate entre os municípios vizinhos, Estado e servidores é um importante passo para o fortalecimento do Samu”.
A coordenadora estadual dos Serviços Móveis e de Urgência e Emergência, Ana Elisa Fonseca, destacou que “é um orgulho poder contar com esse apoio, dando suporte a outras implantações e relatando como tem sido essas experiências e para o Estado”. Ela ressaltou que “Minas Gerais sempre foi protagonista quanto ao Samu e ter esse surgimento do SIV em Contagem é motivo de muito orgulho”.
A profissional em Transportes do Hospital Municipal de Contagem, Luciana da Silva Soares, também relatou que “o seminário nos traz ricas informações, que antes sequer imaginávamos”. Para ela, “os conhecimentos aqui adquiridos irão beneficiar não só para mim, mas para todos que estão aqui. É um momento propício para absorver experiências que irão agregar em minha rotina”.
O coordenador nacional de Urgência e Emergência do Cofen, Eduardo Fernando, parabenizou o desempenho do município, devido ao pioneirismo na estratégia. “Quero parabenizar o Samu Contagem pela iniciativa, coragem e pelos grandes resultados que o SIV, criado na cidade, trouxe em seu primeiro ano salvando vidas”.
Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgências - Samu
O Samu foi implementado no Brasil em 2003, com as modalidades assistenciais constituídas por Unidade de Suporte Básico (USB), que é composta por profissionais de nível médio da enfermagem e condutor socorrista, enquanto a Unidade de Suporte Avançado (USA) é tripulada por um médico, um enfermeiro e condutor socorrista.
A cobertura nacional do Samu, em 2019, era de 85%, sendo 80% por USB e 20% por USA, o que evidencia a maior distribuição do suporte básico.
