Side note: I have no idea why this was chosen. It’s just a mug with a paint filter.

I have been totally geeking out over the new 'Star Trek - Into Darkness' movie. I've watched it quite a few times now on BluRay and just had to do a full-on sci-fi comp as an homage to all things Trek :)

* Foto tirada em Taquarinhas/Santa/Catarina/Brasil em minha última passagem por lá. Além do HDR, corrigi o balanço de branco, contraste, saturação por partes da imagem e usei noise ninja no céu pq o Tone Mapping o deixou com muitíssimo ruído. Talvez essa foto seja meu pós-tratamento mais radical até agora, mas o resultado me agradou muito!
Agradecimentos a alestaleiro por ter me corrigido o nome dessa praia! Muito obrigado meu amigo!
* Picture taken in Taquarinhas/Santa Catarina/Brazil on my last passage over there. Besides the HDR, I corrected the white balance, contrast, saturation by parts of the image and I applied Noise Ninja on the sky due to the fact that the Tone Mapping left it too much noise. Perhaps this image might be my extremest post-processing up until now, but the effect achieved pleased me a lot!

I have wanted, for a little while, to do an image based around fighting a dragon from horseback. Typically, I did one version using these characters and then tried another idea using the same rendered images. I like both so I thought 'what the hell', I'll put them both up.
I've already uploaded the other version (hilltop version) this is the first one I created. Really wanted to try and impart a sense of speed.
Image composite starting with a street shot I took in Hong Kong. Visual effects (smoke, fog, flare, color grading) using BorisFX Optics.
