The works of mercy icon comes from a Greek Orthodox parish on the north side of Chicago -- I no longer recall the parish name. The rector -- name also now forgotten; he has since died -- had this photo made for use on the cover of the Orthodox Peace Fellowship journal, In Communion, and gave permission for it to be freely used by any who asked.

St Mary, Wiveton, Norfolk
Set back from the coast but looking out over the ghost of a harbour to Cley church on the other side, a memorable view. The blue and yellow glass in the nave windows will not be to everyone's taste (it wasn't to mine in 2004) but it creates a special atmosphere and seemed strangely appropriate on this day in March 2022 with war raging in Ukraine. There are brasses including a skeleton in a shroud, and a fragment of 15th Century glass depicting St Mark, discovered about thirty years ago behind cement. It was exhibited in the Vatican Museums as an example of both late medieval English art and early modern English iconoclasm before being reset here.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey_Mouse
Mickey Mouse is a cartoon character who has become an icon for The Walt Disney Company. Mickey Mouse was created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. He was voiced by Walt Disney from 1928–1946 theatrically, and again from 1955–1959 for the original ABC TV Mickey Mouse Club television series. The Walt Disney Company celebrates his birth as November 18, 1928, upon the release of Steamboat Willie. The anthropomorphic mouse has evolved from being simply a character in animated cartoons and comic strips to become one of the most recognizable symbols in the world.

Buick eight special (1957) side & wheel detail
The Buick Special is an automobile produced by the Buick Motor Division of General Motors, Flint, Michigan (USA).
1936–1958:
From 1936 to 1958, Buick's Special model range represented the marque's entry level full-size automobile. By 1955, the Buick Special was one of America's best selling automotive series. Buick Specials are easily identified — the model range had three ventiports while senior Buicks had four.
GM renamed the Buick Special the LeSabre for the 1959 model year, taking the name from the 1951 Le Sabre concept car.
