Spent ages trying to get a shot of these iconic birds in Noarlunga Adelaide South Australia. On a clam day also wanted to include the reflection on the water. Included the water textures in the composition and framed for rule of thirds.

Trying to ditch my 'bad boy' image, going for something a little more messianic. Towards this end I'm using the above icon around the 'net.

St Mary, Wiveton, Norfolk

Set back from the coast but looking out over the ghost of a harbour to Cley church on the other side, a memorable view. The blue and yellow glass in the nave windows will not be to everyone's taste (it wasn't to mine in 2004) but it creates a special atmosphere and seemed strangely appropriate on this day in March 2022 with war raging in Ukraine. There are brasses including a skeleton in a shroud, and a fragment of 15th Century glass depicting St Mark, discovered about thirty years ago behind cement. It was exhibited in the Vatican Museums as an example of both late medieval English art and early modern English iconoclasm before being reset here.
