Getting to know my 'new' lens, the iconic Helios 40, 85mm f1.5 early M39 silver version with extension tubes. Stopped down slightly. I can barely hold the camera one-handed, so not ideal as a macro lens. The true calling of this lens is for portraiture, and I can confirm that it is magnificent at this.
Located approximately 3km north of Burra on the Barrier Highway, lies an abandoned farmhouse.
The cottage, located on ‘Cobb and Co Corner’, was first photographed by iconic Australian landscape photographer, Ken Duncan, and rose to fame on the album cover of Midnight Oil’s ‘Diesel and Dust’ record.
Known as the ‘Midnight Oil House’, this cottage has become one of Australia’s most photographed ruins.
The red canoe is symbolic of the Temagami wilderness and part of the Canadian Canoeing Culture (& allows a contrast to separate it from the landscape).

RKO_6585. The other side of the famous colored houses at the Rietplas in Houten, The Netherlands. Most people make photo's of the colorful frontside, but the backside is at least as beautiful.

Continuing my edition on the previous trips to MRL in Montana, the gas local is almost a requirement to go shoot on the MRL if you ever venture out here. Whichever you prefer, the day or the night gas, they both provide some spectacular shots to be taken along their journey from Missoula to Thompson Falls, Montana and back. Running along the Clark Fork River in the late afternoon, the night gas is my preference to shoot as the late evening light set some great settings for shots along with only being able to photograph them a few short months of the year. Although on this trip, this was my only shot of the gas I got this time as I was focusing more on the locals east of here on the MRL. Paradise, Montana.

View from the Danube bridge Reichsbrücke upstream in north-west direction. The skyscraper on the left is the Millennium Tower, a 171 m high office building built between 1997 and 1999. Next to it are the Millennium City, a shopping center with restaurants and a multiplex cinema, and the Handelskai subway and S-Bahn station, from where I travel to work every day.
