The morning was looking very fall-ish with mist in the woods, leaves on the ground, and shades of orange.
The wonderful iconic Wellington Cable Car. The sky was a fabulous colour but I decided to try and do selective colour process to show off the car.

Built in 1974, the sign became known as the “gateway to the Cross”, featuring on music videos, TV, famous photographs and as a landmark meeting point.
Considered the largest billboard in the Southern Hemisphere at 41 metres long and 13 metres high, the sign is comprised of two sides – the right being the traditional red and white Coca-Cola sign and the left being a flex-faced sign that’s used to display the latest Coke campaigns.

Admittedly not the iconic shot that has eluded me through the years. For all the time that I have been in the area, I've not been around town at a time when the sign was in "all it's glory" with rig and tripod at hand...
The Serin's song is unmistakable. It usually stands in top of pine trees (or other trees as well) while he sings.

Located approximately 3km north of Burra on the Barrier Highway, lies an abandoned farmhouse.
The cottage, located on ‘Cobb and Co Corner’, was first photographed by iconic Australian landscape photographer, Ken Duncan, and rose to fame on the album cover of Midnight Oil’s ‘Diesel and Dust’ record.
Known as the ‘Midnight Oil House’, this cottage has become one of Australia’s most photographed ruins.

Continuing my edition on the previous trips to MRL in Montana, the gas local is almost a requirement to go shoot on the MRL if you ever venture out here. Whichever you prefer, the day or the night gas, they both provide some spectacular shots to be taken along their journey from Missoula to Thompson Falls, Montana and back. Running along the Clark Fork River in the late afternoon, the night gas is my preference to shoot as the late evening light set some great settings for shots along with only being able to photograph them a few short months of the year. Although on this trip, this was my only shot of the gas I got this time as I was focusing more on the locals east of here on the MRL. Paradise, Montana.

A view of the iconic Grand Torii Gate in the background. A closer view will follow of the "floating" Shinto shrine. This image was taken in Spring time (March 21) in Hiroshima, Japan. Although taken some time ago, the beauty of RAW files is the capacity to reprocess older RAW files with current software.

Happy 79th Birthday, Golden Gate Bridge! The iconic bridge was finished and opened on May 27, 1937. I love this art-deco architecture!
I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure and carefully pulled the curves.

This gorgeous (and world famous) willow tree is on most photographer's bucket list if they're touring the South Island and it was on mine for my July trip. Then in March I heard the news that some mindless degenerate had attacked the tree with a saw and hacked off the branch that often dipped into the lake. However much of a cliche this shot may have become I was disgusted and equally disappointed that I'd never get my own version of it. I went there anyway to get what I could and this is the result. As far as I'm concerned the tree is still iconic and of course the backdrop that made it famous is still as spectacular as ever. I appreciate the Instagram made this scene both loved and hated around the world but I'd say this to the imbecile that damaged it...go and have a long hard look at yourself in the mirror mate...you've got issues!
