The beaver was given official status as an emblem of Canada when an Act to provide for the recognition of the beaver ( castor canadensis ) as a symbol of the sovereignty of Canada received royal assent on March 24, 1975.

In Native American cultures, the beaver is often seen as a symbol of prosperity and abundance. The beaver's furry coat is also said to represent physical and spiritual warmth. The beaver's lodge is another important symbol. They design the structure with great care to protect the beaver's family from harm.

The red canoe is symbolic of the Temagami wilderness and part of the Canadian Canoeing Culture (& allows a contrast to separate it from the landscape).

Continuing my edition on the previous trips to MRL in Montana, the gas local is almost a requirement to go shoot on the MRL if you ever venture out here. Whichever you prefer, the day or the night gas, they both provide some spectacular shots to be taken along their journey from Missoula to Thompson Falls, Montana and back. Running along the Clark Fork River in the late afternoon, the night gas is my preference to shoot as the late evening light set some great settings for shots along with only being able to photograph them a few short months of the year. Although on this trip, this was my only shot of the gas I got this time as I was focusing more on the locals east of here on the MRL. Paradise, Montana.

A view of the iconic Grand Torii Gate in the background. A closer view will follow of the "floating" Shinto shrine. This image was taken in Spring time (March 21) in Hiroshima, Japan. Although taken some time ago, the beauty of RAW files is the capacity to reprocess older RAW files with current software.
These two Icons came into existence at the same time to celebrate the worlds fair held in Seattle in 1962. The Space Needle and the Monorail have both served as reminders of the big event and are still two of the iconic attractions the city has to offer.
