Ice Cube in cross stitch. I LOVE this piece but not crazy about the frame nor how hard it is to read in the colors I selected. Might have to give this another go. (and it's Geto Boys who originally did the tune)
Fun with Glass and Liquid; (I think I needed a slightly faster shutter speed to get this sharper; (I used 1/180) but my table was getting really wet after a couple of tries, so I had to stop, LOL!; also I really should have used a timer, because my own timing is not too reliable, LOL); ©2008 DianaLee Photo Designs

She has a Cesar Millan book : Cesar's rules :) ,her sunscreen !!, shades, water with icecubes and, very important, some snacks !!!
She never tried to eat them during the shoot !!! good girl
I bought these shades in Spain and i love them !!!
Sorry for being absent this week, my computer gave me problems so they have to reinstall Windows !

A collage of the ones I’ve posted for the #MacroMondays theme of #InIce for 6/16…… my current favorites are: thumbs up, M with the tiny shell, tiny shell, don’t tread on me, orbs — for various reasons…… I actually have ones I didn’t post… Do I get points for lotsa possibilities
You want to shoot drinks with nice and clear ice cubes but you don't want to shell out a fortune for acrylic cubes?
Here you go, from left to right:
1. Cloudy, ugly icecube---we can do better!
2. A styrofoam mold guarantees isolation at the bottom
3. Filling that mold with water serves as thermal coupling
4. Now: boil destilled water, then let it sit, until it is handwarm
5. Fill the icecube tray
6. Wait approx 15 h, and then enjoy your clear cubes :-)
The trick is the "directional" freezing. If the ice freezes from all sides simultaneously, the air cannot get out and the ice gets cloudy. If you insulate one side, this is not the case.
The boiling boils out enclosed air,
the usage of destilled water guarantees clean water.

1st strobe behind and below the object aimed at the background, 2nd strobe with shoot-trough aimed at the object from left, IR triggered
If you haven't picked up one of those "ice cube trays" they're awesome.
Use'm to make gummies, chocolates, and all kinds of stuff :)

Remember to melt the chocolate on slow/low power (if in a microwave) so that it lasts a little longer.
Expose an ice cube to strong afternoon light and you'll get something like this....provided you see it through a macro lens glass :)
