Another project out of the freezer, i.e. a red heart in an ice cube, the blue background, motion blur and texture applied in PS. I started this project a long time ago, but when I read the theme for this Saturday, I dug it out and completed it. It didn't look quite as crazy before the overhaul :)
I don't have a story with this image and it makes no sense. I am not as smitten with screws as some people so I thought I'd do something that is fun. I put various screws in ice cube containers, added water of course, glitter and food colouring. I thought I'd see what happens. Then I got a lengthy phone call at a crucial time and before I knew it it was dark. I put the now frozen ice cubes in front of a torch and I liked the look of this one. But I could not think of a story to pull it together. I had to crop a lot to obey the rules for MM but I will upload the bigger version too.
Hopefully sooner than later!

Ice sculptures taken at Lake Baikal. It was quite cold ! Luckily the camera shutter is still working only my finger joints are stiff and my face numbed !

I am a great fan of iced tea - but this one of the best I have ever come across! The place, Mr. FARMER, also had great food (and even some tasty vegetarian options, which made my husband quite happy).

The macro monday’s theme for today, 2/15, is frozen in an ice cube, InIce. These turned out better than I had the right to expect considering the complexity needed to create crystal clear cubes. Mine didn’t pass muster for that criteria but I liked the results nonetheless. I think there may be 8 I like.... thank goodness for Barbie accessory props... this is an eraser and is 2cm at its biggest dimension

"The heat made me fix and foxy - I had to cool myself down within these ice cubes. Have frozen myself directly into one of them - and I did offer my friend Tiny Teddy to join me, but he denied this ice bath because he did not want to get his fur wet - so silly, but I can't help it if he doesn't want to be as cool as I am."
