She is wearing a new ensemble that sew by hand, taking inspiration from an Alexander McQueen creation. It took some time to sew the dress, make the sandals and the wig. The eyes are too handmade by me. I love to make by myself all the things my dolls need, as much as I can. Sadly the photos have bad quality, since I still have to learn to create a correct photo session....
Found in Dion, Macedonia. Isis was an Egyptian goddess who became popular around the Med in the Ptolemaic period. Here she is depicted as Demeter. She holds a sheaf of wheat and a scepter with a solar disk. The Greek inscription dedicates this marble plaque to Serapis, Isis, and Anubis, all Egyptian gods. From the Dion archaeological museum, Macedonia, Greece.

At first I did not have any information of this beautiful piece, only the SR number that was shown in the museum. But luckily got help to identify this object and was told, that it can be found in Kunst der Ptolemäer- und Römerzeit im Ägyptischen Museum Kairo , G./Johannes, D.
Detail from the coffin of Khonsu.
Made from wood lined with stucco and painted, this sarcophagus was found among the grave goods in the intact Tomb of Sennedjem (Tomb TT 1) in Deir el Medina. Found in 1886 , this sarcophagus was identified to date back to the 19th Dynasty, during the reign of King Ramses II. This sarcophagus (coffin) belongs to Khonsu, the son of Sennedjem. Richly decorated, it is embellished with scenes on walls of royal burials which workers used to paint in royal funerary tombs and complexes. The scenes involve depictions from Chapter 17 of the Book of the Dead and the protective deities, such as Anubis , the god of mummification. He is shown preparing the deceased for embalmment . Attending this revered procedures are goddesses Isis, and her sister, Nephthys.

Hello everybody! I hope you had a great holiday's celebrations and I wish you a fantastic 2014. Isn't it incredible we are in 2014? When I was kid, thinking of this time was sort of a Sci-Fi thing! I suspect this year will be one of the starting point of many needed changes. So lets keep our fingers crossed; For the world, the nation and personally.
Here is another image done by my dear friend (since our very young years) who has become a seasoned a Fantasy photographer/editor. Check her website where she display so many awesome images. The first one, this one and one or two coming coming up were made with a couple of snap shoots she did with her phone. We never planned doing it but the day of my departure she decided to do so. I hope you like them as I do.
I wish an easy and uneventful Hercules storm for all the people in the North East. Gladly, although I am in the border line of the storm, we seem not being threatened by it. So, lets see!
PS: What you see in my friends images, everything is created by her. Whether it is an illustration, photo or digital manipulation is rather unique and only used once. In her site she shows some of her work made with snap shots sent to her. There is a before and after image so you get the idea.
