July 18 2011,

Please don't be afraid of a little mud and dirt.

We need our trees we need our parks, we even need our city pigs. We don't all have the luxury of working in air conditioned offices. Trees not only keep our streets cooler and add shade they are also a major component of keeping our air cleaner. I know you go from your air conditioned house into your air conditioned polluting car and drive to your air-conditioned office or lake front cottage up north. But please show some consideration for those of us that actually live in the city and need the shade and the clean air.

Now I don't want to get in a mud slinging match about petting zoos and riverdale farms but do you really think inner city kids should only get to see rats, pigeons, squirrels and raccoons in person and do you really believe that allowing them to see farm animals outside the TV set is doing them a disservice? Maybe we should just keep them ignorant about farms and where the supermarkets gets the food?

Could you please explain how we can become a modern world class city while having no concerns for the environment?

Yours truly,

‘Trees aren’t gravy’: Ford foes challenge cost-saving report

P.S. Money saving tip: Sell all last years G20 riot gear. Did the police really have any need of all that equipment that is designed solely for the purpose of suppressing the liberty of the citizens of Toronto. I know it might be hard to pry it from the fingers of the metro police but after all you are the Mayor and it all happened before you came to power.
