I had another trip out to the River Dove at Beresford Dale/Wolfescote Dale.
Loads of Juvenile Dippers about, a few adults were still feeding some.
This shot shows an adult Dipper ignoring pleading for food from one of its juveniles. It kept this up for over 15 mins! I think it was a case of "you are old enough to get your own now!"
There were Redstarts and Pied Flycatchers around as well.
A nice morning walk!
I think that pretty much sums up what this Bald Eagle was thinking when we accidentally stumbled upon it on a beach in Alaska back in 2011.
Too often we ignore these guys when we are taking photos. Northwestern Crow at Fishtrap Creek Park, Abbotsford, B.C.
... to cover the scar even though it's always there, however, to be impossible is for one to see his weakness as, not an adversary, but the cherry on top of his strength, to rearrange the scar so that it compliments his features.

Whatever goes around me
What passed in front of my eyes.
I only see what I want to see
And in the way I want to see.
How can I I not see? For
I don’t see the same way you do
We all see things from different perspective.
But to see and not to ignore is important – so
i can understand how you see things.
For if we choose not see what passes in front of us
Who know how it will end?
While hiking, I have been seeing a growing number of people taking only a brief view of the surroundings and then burying themselves in their electronic devices. This ongoing project highlights the need to re-examine our need to unplug and just enjoy the beauty of this world.

Semi-automatic 25mm grenade launcher. Designed to be familiar in ergonomics to various infantry rifles; allowing a soldier to feel comfortable operating the AGL-99 with minimal training.
Less-than-lethal ammunition variants allow the AGL-99 to also be deployed as a riot-control weapon.
A much more polished re-upload.
Credit goes to Shockwave for the bipod mount that I cannibalized for the optic.
Most people I know intensely dislike this new uber-green building. There is much not to like, for sure, not least that its architectects seem to have ignored the historical and architectural context of the neighborhood. One of the buildings torn down to make way for it had a mural that was equally confrontational, but in a way that reflected the cultural realities of the place (flic.kr/p/wEVU5C). I am sure there are many who prefer the current eyesore to the one it replaced. Photographically, I have made peace with this alien being. Getting it into the same frame as the old blue building across the street, the one in full sun and the other in shadow, was a photoshop masking experience, but I hope the result is plausible enough to enjoy. If nothing else, that arrow of sunlit yellow streaking across the deep indigo behind it is an eye-catching stroke.
Ignore the date, these were taken today 12/7/13. Been after a shot of this lovely original Marina for ages.

Apparently I didn't alarm him. He ignored me and went back to watching over his territory. I love the deep red eyes of a mature Cooper's.

On the good nights
when the bottle's empty
we always want
just a little more,
half a glass,
a few sips,
a taste.
We know
this desire
can be dangerous
to pursue,
that it can make
mornings difficult,
so usually we
brush our teeth
let the dog in,
lock the doors,
but sometimes,
even as we say
We really should
get ready for bed,
instead of loading
the dishwasher
we will search
for the corkscrew,
all the while
shaking our heads
in wonder
at this willingness
to ignore the clocks
and the fact we have
to work tomorrow,
this irresponsibility,
this evidence
even after all these years
of the unquenchable desire
for each other's company.

Just ignore the fenders, i still haven't worked out anything better 😋😅
Yeah so i kinda lost my drive to do projects lately even though my anti-psychotics are working really well, its almost like they opened my mind, made me think about how iv obsessed over big projects and how much time iv put in over the years now
Maybe i just needed a break, Cyberpunk was a good distraction though.
I am very distracted with world issues and the looming war to come, cost of living is through the roof, i cant get a job, I'm thinking about joining the ADF to get a trade but i doubt they will have me, might have to wait for "conscription" Jokes😅
Streaming services keep cancelling seasons 2 and 3, so i got no faith in them anymore, all the new pc parts are nearly ready for release and I'm stressing internally cause FOMO, but then if the war happens and everything goes to shit no pc parts for anyone i suppose.
I'm really not looking forward to living in an apocalyptic world soon, i just feel like i don't have any more fight left in me, i have no interest in being a hunter gatherer.
