This was taken near the mouth of the Sheboygan River yesterday under sunny skies and a "feels like" temperature of MINUS 8 F.
Ignore the face just look at the dress,
Yeah sorry about the not so happy look on my face I can honestly say its all down to the fact that I couldn't believe how good this dress looked on .
Ok it doesn't look amazing in this photo and it wasn't any better on the mannequin but in real life it was for me WOW I was totally speechless for a few moments and if I could cry I would have done my voice did get a little squeaky and I was getting choked up but I pulled myself together and started to enjoy the dress,
I would never have tried a fish tail dress and in all truth I didn't know it was until the sales girl started to describe while getting it out of the bag,
It fitted beautifully and was lovely and easy to wear so much so that I posed on the sofa for some more photos. This was the third dress I tried and would most probably be the one I would buy just because of the effect it had on me.
The sales girl seemed to know I liked it and left me in it longer that than she should have :-)
Supposedly cycling isn't allowed in the Greenwich foot tunnel that runs under the River Thames. It seems no one has told the cyclists this.
Ignore everything

By 1997, I had realized that I had mainly ignored railfanning commuter or passenger rail operations. Had I not ignored it, I'd have photos of Blueliners, MU's, GG1's, E & F Units, RDC's.
Upon starting full-time in my current job in 1997, I was given my birthday off as a benefit. Since this happened on a weekday, I decided to start railfanning commuter/passenger rail pithing a day-trip of eastern PA. I would revisit each place at 10-year intervals to document the changes.
1998 would find my second subject, the Northeast Corridor at Princeton Jct. This was pre-2001, so the smart thing to do was to stay on a public platform to photograph.
Westbound on the express track. Kodachrome scan.
Self portrait, never really liked it much.
Never really did anything with it.
It's good for a myspace picture,
and now an icon for my flickr.
enjoy.
A rare indoor shot from Dr. Clarke for this one, with two National Library Staff (please note that there are no women) concentrating on their work! I'm not too sure what we can find out about it, but It does show how little has changed in the Reading Room in the interim.
To all those who extended kind wishes for my recent surgery I would like to say they were much appreciated! I now have a new knee to keep me occupied and am making progress day by day. Thank you all!
As [https://www.flickr.com/photos/47297387@N03] and [https://www.flickr.com/photos/scorbet] point out, it is longstanding lore in Library Towers that this image captures Seán T. O'Kelly. One-time Library Towers employee (1898-1902), and later President of Ireland (1945-1959). While this story/theory has not been corroberated by today's inputs, it equally hasn't been discounted.

I had another trip out to the River Dove at Beresford Dale/Wolfescote Dale.
Loads of Juvenile Dippers about, a few adults were still feeding some.
This shot shows an adult Dipper ignoring pleading for food from one of its juveniles. It kept this up for over 15 mins! I think it was a case of "you are old enough to get your own now!"
There were Redstarts and Pied Flycatchers around as well.
A nice morning walk!
Too often we ignore these guys when we are taking photos. Northwestern Crow at Fishtrap Creek Park, Abbotsford, B.C.
Whatever goes around me
What passed in front of my eyes.
I only see what I want to see
And in the way I want to see.
How can I I not see? For
I don’t see the same way you do
We all see things from different perspective.
But to see and not to ignore is important – so
i can understand how you see things.
For if we choose not see what passes in front of us
Who know how it will end?
While hiking, I have been seeing a growing number of people taking only a brief view of the surroundings and then burying themselves in their electronic devices. This ongoing project highlights the need to re-examine our need to unplug and just enjoy the beauty of this world.

Happy Saturday everyone:))
I just want to say thanks so much to all my Flickr friends for your constant support, inspiration and friendship:) I know I don't always have time to get around to you all, but when I do, I truly enjoy your work. I wish I had more time for Flickr but lately things just seem to be too hectic! I really appreciate those who comment on my stream even when it's been a while since I commented on yours:)) Thank you so much:)
One of my Flickr friends recently sent me a Flickrmail complaining that I never visit their stream anymore and that none of his other contacts do either. He also said that he has seen that I visit other people's streams and how come I don't visit him. The way it works with me is not that I pick one or two people to visit and ignore everyone else - not at all. I visit whoever I can whenever I can. To cut a long story short, this is about the 4th time I have gotten these emails from this person, and because I am nice I have bitten my tongue and brushed them under the carpet. This time though, I ended our friendship. Harsh, maybe, but I really don't need negativity in my life anymore.
I have friends on Flickr and in life who I don't see often or comment on their streams, etc. and we are still the very best of friends, because we know what life is like and what it's like to be busy:)
Enough rambling! Thank you all for your friendship:)))
