This Frog, walking around my garden, is ignoring the lockdown and is determined to get out and socialise, I, on the other hand am Staying Home/Staying Safe :-)
Dedicated to RHC (ILYWAMHASAM)
Ignore the exif data, this shot was done with the Fuji X-E3 plus 7Artisans 35/1.2 lens wide-open (and close up). You may have noticed that the flower to the right is an artificial one. Our home is dotted with living and artificial flowers. My wife is an artist and what counts for her are the colours, shapes and their arrangements. Looking even closer, I could say that what counts for her is what this arrangements sets free inside her mind. It is this inner response that is important, not whether a flower is alive or not. Photographers, discuss!

I cannot always ‘Thank’ everyone individually, for their Visits and ‘Faves’ however, I will always try to respond and thank all those that leave a ‘Comment’. If I do not reply to your 'Comment', it is not because I am ignoring you, it's because I have not seen the 'Comment'.
Your 'Comments' do not always appear in 'Notifications' or Flickr mail, so, I am sorry for any delay in responding. Often your 'Comment' is only spotted 'On the Page' on the day, that I see it. (seen ONLY when replying to someone HAS 'Commented' on the image, and I see a notification)
Mother Nature left this pretty little pile, swirled by the wind, on my patio. I couldn't ignore it ;)
Summer's not done yet. Highs in the 90's here this week. I love fall but I just can never get enough of summer.
Must confess Halloween is my most dreaded holiday.
The hype is impossible to ignore . . . and the fact this particular event has become as celebrated as Christmas is a bit disturbing to me. None-the-less, it's everywhere . . . and we do enjoy the other parts of this indoor/outdoor used book park!
For Window Wednesday, this works!
.
Ignore the aperture and focal length exif. If I recall correctly, this was when the lens was beginning to malfunction and ended up getting sent for repair. Not cheap, but still less expensive than a new lens.

Proud to see Ikaria included in the “The Blue Zone” ...
*The Etched Volcanic Rocks Painted with Pelagic Sediments had so many stories to share with me.
*Ikaria, the island where people forget to Die.What’s their secret? I had read so many articles about that, but I wanted to find out myself. There must be something behind “The Blue Zone” ...
*Ikaria has been inhabited since at least 7000 BC by the Neolithic pre-Hellenic race of Pelasgians.
*According to mythology Icarus, ignoring his father’s Daedalus advice, after escaping their imprisonment in Crete, flew very high, resulting in melting his wax feathers, falling and drawing in the sea somewhere around the island. His father buried his body on this island, which was named Ikaria to commemorate the daring youngster*
*Ikarians are open, relaxed, friendly people who greet you with a genuine smile. They seem to laugh in the face of modern life- the greedy rush through time, the loss of identity through globalization and homogenous life styles, consumerism, and materialism.
They have always been self-sufficient people, mainly shepards, farmers, fisherman, shop owners and craftsmen. They farm their own land with most households growing their own supply of organic fruit and vegetables.
"in the “The Blue Zone” :
*The Italian island of Sardinia
*Okinawa, Japan
*Loma Linda, California
*Costa Rica’s isolated Nicoya Peninsula
*Ikaria, an isolated Greek island

😮😮 Microsoft have trashed the file I USUALLY get these 'reply addresses' from, (autosave to server), and have reduced a document with 170 pages in, to 1 with 2 lowercase "ii's" on!! (Using an old backup file right now😮) so, sorry about the delay in responding😮

A New Year and a time for new things. My first new shot of the year from my "big camera". And my new peacock feather! Well, if you count an M4/3 camera as "big," that is — maybe more of a little-big camera? I found this peacock feather while out walking Jazzy this morning, which was serendipitous since my old one was well and truly worn out!
Photographing it turned into quite the production. To capture the feather’s iridescence, it needed sunlight—but the afternoon sun was so harsh and hot. On top of that, the wind was gusting like crazy — not ideal for something as delicate as a feather. After scouting the yard for a spot with a good green backdrop, I finally settled on the front lawn under our Golden Robinia tree. It provided just the right balance of shade and sunlight. Of course, the breeze was relentless, so out came the Gorilla tape. A bit of creative taping later (securing the feather to the tree in multiple places), and I was ready to take my shot... or, more accurately, 500,000 shots at high shutter speed, waiting for the wind to take a break.
Does anyone else’s neighbors completely ignore the strange things you do for photography? Mine do. They’ve seen it all by now. Probably the weirdest thing I’ve done was hauling a chair up a ladder onto the roof of our three-story house for some shots, but that’s a story for another day.
Anyway, if you squint at this feather, do you see a bird? A big red eye with a blue pupil, a beak, and a crest? Or maybe that’s just the Sunday evening relaxing red wine talking. Cheers! 🍷

The ice fishers seem to be too intent on inspecting the holes in the ice to pay any heed to the fabulous sunset.

The dromedaries at our local zoo are quite comical and seem to know how to ignore the camera pointing at them... they will strike a pose however, when given the chance, lol

(Ignore my eyebrow shape; I seriously have like 3 brows and they all looked stupid so I had to fix one of them to look ok.)
Can I just say Noc, THIS SKIN IS ADORABLE!
You are doing a great job with these skins! <3
Walking through 'Volkspark Friedrichshain' in Berlin, there is a bicycle you can rent - ignored by the jogger.
This started out as a 'spoonful of memories' until I realised that the spoon itself is too pretty to ignore. It's one of a set I bought on a whim many years ago in an antique shop because I remember using these scalloped shape spoons as a child to eat my tinned peaches and white bread and butter every Sunday afternoon for my tea.
Tree work is tough and dangerous.
While admiring the brave tree workers, I cry for that huge, beautiful tree which had been filtering air and shading us for hundreds of years. I enjoyed so much taking its pictures in different seasons and light. And it was so nice watching from my window the lives on and around it - the singing birds' families; the busy squirrels' siblings; the stopping by but chased off owl and hawk visitors; kids running and swinging in its shade; deer and foxes wandering around it, ...
The enormous emptiness left is unfillable. Trees are our ignored heroes, one of our lifelines.
I ignored TLC completely and took the whole family out to Springbrook National Park to see the Natural Bridge waterfall. Totally worth it. Could have taken the photo slightly differently, but that gives me another reason to return.
The original photo, was , in my opinion, too dark. So I decided to rework it, to bring out the detail better. I hope you like it .
And I added my kick ass watermark!
