I have held off with posting this image because while I took the images an "ignorant" individual with his cell-phone had to get to within 10 feet of the owl prompting it to fly away. I am still very miffed about that incident.

Just imagine the shots I could have made of the owl getting into its prey. Damn,some people. !!!

I apologize for any offence given in yesterday’s post about ignorant North American’s being tolerated more in Holland, I think some took ignorant to have only one meaning and that being obnoxious versus unschooled or unlearned about the culture they are being immersed in.

I can only post my truth from my heart when it comes to my images, the commentary that I use to describe or add backstory hopefully gives more depth to the ordinary scene captured more extraordinary and are just my humble musings.

I am not trying to do anything other than entertain a few people with nice images and with any luck, fond memories while this plague invades our lives to teach us what is important and what is not.

If I cause offense in the future to anyone that feels it necessary to take offence please refer to this post and consider this my official apology and have a nice day.

This is an image of Zutphen I did not expect to capture and thank the lords of light for the opportunity to record it the passage leads through to another square behind the building,, does anyone who know this building and any history or amusing stories about it?

Looking at freedom as a personal right: Freedom is the right to work out a personal credo. In a sense, freedom is the right to breathe... the right to enough oxygen for personal life... the right to be enlightened or ignorant. I just received Mary Oliver's new book from my dearest friend, Evelyn - Upstream. On the back jacket cover is a quote that I feel must be Oliver's personal credo:

"Sometimes the desire to be lost again, as long ago, comes over me like a vapor. With growth into adulthood, responsibilities claimed me, so many heavy coats. I didn't choose them, I don't fault them, but it took time to reject them. Now in the spring I kneel, I put my face into the packets of violets, the dampness, the freshness, the sense of ever-ness. Second-hand Fuji X-Pro1 (shot done with Fuji X-Pro3; contre-jour, reflector). The camera must have a history which I do not know. I am ignorant of the images produced in the past by this device. I may have a guess as to what images I will take with it in the future, but I am not sure.

Test, try, experiment, feel your way along. It is the experience, not technique, which counts in camera work first of all. If you get the feel of photography, you can take fifteen pictures while one of your opponents is trying out his exposure meter :-)

Two ignorant children were playing with a kitten they picked up.The kitten can eat nothing but mother's milk. At that time, the eyes of the kitten were drenched in water. Because the kitten had a plastic rope tied around it's nack which was like a leak to it. I helped untie the rope from the kitten nack before taking the picture. But I couldn't put an end to the fear of the kitten. Because the kitten was away from his mother and no trace of his mother could be found.

the pictures practically take themselves.

For anyone who wants to become a serious and creative photographer [my advice is to] go to the best school of art & design you can get into. Go to museums. That's what...will teach you how to see, how to compose and how to think visually :-)
