Here is a nice shot of the island that is now the bus stop at 9th and Roosevelt Blvd. As you can see, Wingohocking St. goes straight through to Harold O. Davis church.
During the time of the fall hunting season in Montana every bar and tavern sports one of these "Welcome Hunters" signs.
We were in Bosque del Apache parked along the side of the road when a movement caught my attention. Coming down the fence row was this skunk browsing for food. It came down, across the dry canal and up the other side not more than 10 feet from my husband. I was surprised that it was hunting in the day time and even more surprised it would come between us without any fear or defensive moves.
While walking the streets, I saw this bird walking, flying, over the creek down below the bridge. It was alone looking for food I think. Not sure if there is fish in this creek but it seems to be hunting something under the flowing water of this creek that is usually littered with trash. It was walking farther away from me and I couldn't follow it because the bridge was blocked by wires. I just waited for it to turn on its side for this shot of the bird's reflection in the water. This is the first time to see this bird outside a zoo!

Spotted this tame house cat sitting on a post while out walking. It seemed to be fixated on the ground, no doubt sneakily hunting for small rodents
Lovely to be out of the house and somewhere slightly further from home.
So this is a Hobby from London Drove at Westhay. Rather than catching Dragonflies this bird was after the swifts. Wonderful aerial activity. A very cold and windy day so probably not many insects about
Note: The signs on the Gates into the reserve didn't state that the reserve was closed and a number of walkers were going in, yet the Website does still states the reserve is closed. However there is still plenty to see from London Drove and Dagg's Drove as I found out. Also the Droves are wide making Social Distancing possible.

Loaded up Brownie & Taz and drove to Central Ky and met up with MtEdenbeagler and company. Sorry can't remeber name.
for a little squack hunting today. Man what a fun day it was. Larry is a great guy , has some very good young prospects and has squirrels with plenty of mast for them.
We got there this morning and turned the dogs loose and things started out real slow. It was foggy, cold and lots of water still on the trees and limbs. Dogs treed a few but the squirrels hadn't been down on the ground yet and apparently were moving though the trees because the dogs were having a rough time winding the squirrels.
But from about 12 to 2PM it was pretty action packed to say the least. Dogs treed around 30 times, we looked at 19 and bagged 18. And I finally got to shoot some fat Fox squacks out to my dogs. Don't you just love hunting those big critters? We had one tree that had a fox and grey squirrel both in it. Both squirrels started timbering at the same time. Didn't do them much good though because we had some prick eared feist power after them. The dogs split up with some following the fox and the rest following the grey. I say both are skinned by now also.
We had some 2 way split trees and at least one 3 way split tree. Larrys young female caught a grinner on the ground and Brownie and Taz treed another up a bush no thicker than a broom handel. Really liked the way Larrys lil yellow female hunted and treed today. SHe was in on lots of action and even treeing her own squacks.
Thank you Larry for the invite. I had a blast!

Pepsi watching the birds, ready to take off. We assume she was trained for bird hunting in Spain, but there's no way we can verify this.
For those who don't know her story: Pepsi was thrown out of a car because she was pregnant. Pregnant = useless..... her pups didn't survive, but she started a new life here.
Volunteers spot spray individual orange hawkweed plants during Week 2 of the 'Hunting Hawkweed' program.
This site has a large infestation which has been a challenge to control, however the volunteers have hand treated thousands of plants which will prevent the potential loss of the perched alpine bog on Fifteen Mile Ridge.
