Melody made this photo of a hummingbird actually drinking from the running water of the Fish Pond fountain sculpted by Xuan My Ho. Melody and I each took several photos of two hummingbirds at this fountain. This is the cropped version of the original photo that shows the tiny bird's long beak in the flowing water. Melody captured this image using her Canon Powershot SX50.

Looks like trouble is brewing as this unwelcome male invades the garden. Mama is there to run the rascal off. Their stance reminds me of two old West gunfighters ready to "slap leather". I guess I watched too much Gunsmoke as a child. LOL
