I love the blurred background here, but the liquid in the bird feeder has the complete reflection of the wetlands in the background.

Lucifers are a favoured flower of the Annas Hummingbird. The bell-shaped, red flowers are a sign of delicious nectar.
Today I had my first hummingbird show up for this season. The warmer weather also brought the grosbeaks, indigo buntings and a few more orioles. The grosbeaks are enjoying the grape jelly too over the oranges hands down.
This Ruby-Throated Hummingbird was trapped inside a building, but was thankfully rescued, and flew off on his own!
We took down a feeder and placed this plant in its location. This is an immature male who consistently nectared at this location away from the mature males.

Six species of hummers visited the feeders here: Magnificent, Scintillant, White-throated Mountain Gem, Volcano Hummingbird, Green Violet-ear, and Striped Hummingbird.
This tiny, tiny hummingbird showed up on my back deck this morning. I don't think he was much more than 1 inch long.
I'm assuming this is a juvenile male Ruby Throat - just beginning to show his colors. If this incorrect, let me know, I'll change the title.
