Apparently it's a tasty treat.

Rufous hummingbird resting on a feeder in between drinks. His iridescent neck would change in color between red and green. Here it looks more orange/brown. Taken at Davis Mountains State Park in Fort Davis, TX on November 29, 2008.

My hummingbird flower garden has finally paid off with two Ruby-throated Hummingbirds visiting several times every day. Very tricky to photo since they take only a few minutes to check which flowers have nectar since their last visit then they move on. I plan on extending the garden a bit for next year and with a good feeder perhaps their visits will last longer.
