Spotted two Ruby-throated hummingbirds late in the evening. This guy was there when I got home eating from the feeder and flying into the trees north of the house. The second landed on the feeder late in the evening just before the sunset and I could not get a shot of the two together.

I will keep my eyes open for the two of them sitting on the feeder tomorrow night. I will post them if I can get them together, I believe they are two young males.

New camera...new issues. Just found out LR3 doesn't support RAW images from my Canon 6D. Until I upgrade to LR4, I have to shoot in both RAW & JPEG. Oh well...there's more important things to worry about in life :-)

Anyway...I installed yet ANOTHER hummingbird feeder, so we now have three spots for my entertainment!

She's either licking her lips (I have several pics with her tongue out) or talking to me through the screen. They do seem to talk whenever they are around people. I am going to make a couple of collages from some of the other photos, otherwise I'd be posting Hummingbird photos from now til January. Which wouldn't be a bad thing in my opinion.

This summer, we've only had one male ruby throated hummingbird coming to our hummingbird feeder and flowers. It's been hard getting any pictures because as soon as he senses any motion, he takes off.

In the past few days, I've seen some other hummingbirds that stay longer, so I'm hoping to get more pictures.

Looks like this hummingbird is going to stay the winter.
