I really like this shot, even though the background turned out weird and kind of makes the bird look fake. It actually sat still on the very top of our peach tree long enough for me to take a picture.

had a kenko 1.4x on it, gonna do the same image one more time w/o since cropping works just as well :D...
blown up it appears that the feeder is out of focus despite me pre-focussing w/ auto and then turning it to MF. I wonder if the kenko is really destroying IQ that much or if ISO 500 is really that bad.. on a 40D
Hubby won a three-night trip to the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona.
I've never seen desert conditions before. It was a great trip and a fantastic photo opportunity.
With the Hummingbirds, I started doing full-manual burst photography. I set myself up for failure: I didn't have my tripod on me, it's rather hard to hold my telescopic steady when it's at it's full length and the feeders were all in shade, so I had to crank the ISO. For all of that, I think I got a few good shots.
