This image is a digital capture of the image as it was projected onto the wall of a darkened room. Using a digital film scanner would accomplish the task of reproducing the image much better, but the whole point would be missed. The act of projection changes the environment in which it takes place and allows the slide to be its true self and collaborate with the projector and receiving surface.

The device delivers humidified air, so it needs a water chamber. Right now my doctor has me getting cold humidified ari, but the machine can deliver heated air, as well.

This high-volume humidification device ensures that humidity is maintained at 80% rh in the greenhouse. It is connected to a sensor (humidistat) and tends to come on after the evaporative cooler has introduced cooled air from the outside (this new air comes in at about 60% rh). In this clip the device itself isn't visible.
It took some time to figure out how to position this device in a way that its output wouldn't condense on plant surfaces or on the ceiling above the plants. I am pleased that I found a solution. The hydrofogger sits in its own partitioned compartment between the heater and evaporative cooling CELdek pad. It is sealed off on three sides and has a steep roof above it that helps direct the fog into the growing space through a semi-permeable curtain. This taut curtain between the hydrofogger and the plants consists of three layers of fibreglass window screen, ensuring that large droplets do not land on the plants while still allowing super-fine fog particles to move through. At the top there is an opening for the fog to pour out unfettered. The fog that reaches this height consists only of smaller droplets which readily evaporate.

In the video if one looks closely one can see how the solid clear partitions that surround the hydrofogger on three sides fog-up. It is really important that none of this fog had contact with the electrical cords by the heater, and I am happy to have accomplished this.
