We told Liam to give Tia a hug, so he ran over and hugged her (ass) and got a faceful of tail.
The only post-processing I did was a crop. I used the "more vivid" setting in the D200.
Dang, I love this camera (the kid's pretty cool too).

It had been three years since I had seen her last, and I did not recognize her. When I congratulated her on the artwork and asked for a picture she asked where she could find it, and when I mentioned I post to Flickr she asked me if I was 'Justin Waits'. I was floored. How?!
It turned out she was my 24th submission to the Human Family Group and she had remembered our encounter in the airport three years ago as she was setting out on her first airplane flight to visit a friend.
The least likely place to meet again, but here we were! She was attending USAO and was working on her bachelors of Fine Art degree.
It was such a joyful reunion, and I am so glad our paths crossed once again.

When Flint is on his back and you wave your hand and fingers in front of him like you're going to tickle him (and maybe I make airplane noises, too, haha), he'll paw the air. We like to be silly like that. :)
Also, it's Flint's 6th birthday today! He doesn't know it yet, but he has a big bone waiting for him....he'll love it because it still has meat and cartilage on it. But shhh, it's a secret!!

This is hardly a ground-breakingly original subject, I admit : at the time of posting, a search on the tag "free hugs" brought back 7959 results. But I went through several pages and found that the vast majority either showed people forlornly holding up their "FREE HUGS" signs as passers by looked on with bemusement or disdain, or people gingerly patting each other on the back as if they're slightly surprised at themselves for having dared to indulge in such a gesture in public. Certainly, none of them showed the exuberance of the woman above, who literally took a running jump into the arms of her delighted hugger. I only hope he doesn't have a bad back.
And I can't helping thinking that the Experienced Guide may have missed a trick.

Then on November 8th, 2009 something extraordinary seems to have happened - I'm not sure who picked up on it first, but suddenly I had several hundred hits, many, though not all, from the twitterverse. Ryan Carson, founder of Carsonified, announced he was going to be using the image in a forthcoming talk he's giving, but beyond that I really don't know where the hits are coming from. Anyone who'd care to leave a comment to say where they came here from would be much appreciated.

This is the only semi-decent shot I got of tonight's sunset. Right after this was taken the sun dipped below the lower cloud bank and the closer clouds let loose with a torrent of rain. The rain let up after a few minutes and the sky cleared, but the sky was flat as the sun was well below the cloud layer. It was a fun trip anyway!
A HUG; Theres just no doubt about it we scarcely could survive without it, a HUG delights and warms and charms, it must be why god gave us arms.
HUGS are great for fathers and mothers sweet for sisters, even for brothers and chances for some favourite aunts.
Love them more than potted plants !!
Kittens crave them pupies love them, heads of state are not above them, a HUG can break the language barrier, and even make the dullest day seem merrier.
No need to fret about the store of 'em the more you give the more there are of 'em, so stretch those arms out and give someone a HUG today.

I love this shot, as it shows how comfortable she is around is, even at 13 weeks old.

I'm loving the new HA stamps and had a chance to play with them yesterday. I did bold and graphic - something I NEVER do and it was quite fun! I'll be entering this card in the January Hero Arts Challenge 2012 and the DCD Challenge.
