Both the pink and brown patterns on this were recycled junk mail.

In reality, more of a test of strength than a hug I think!
Lisa's card on the blog today was a great reminder to finish my dh's Valentine:) I embossed CG129 Heart Frame in brown on kraft , cut out a heart shaped window and colored it in with pencils. The big bloom from CL322 Artistic Borders was embossed in white 3 times on coordinating pp's, cut out and layered. I stamped K5193 Flower Word on a scrap of white and put the part with the word "love" underneath the clear button.

I used the HA grid stamp, and the "Thinking of You Messages" set for the butterfly trail. I did {tearfully} cut up the sentiment, but it fits back together nicely...only thing is, since the sentiment is in rather small type, I have to make sure I don't lose a word! ;)

We all need someone/thing to hug. Why not this cute, hand embroidered 'hug' pillow?
The front is fuschia, baby pink and baby blue with the word 'hug' embroidered in pink letters. The back is a cool retro print with three pink buttons.

and yes. I did have to hug two girls (I know... what a pain!) because I photographed them. I was told that one must give a hug if one wants to photograph people. pfff! what a bunch of nonsense... right?
Tomorrow we're off to spend a week traveling down the southern Oregon coast. I've been wanting to see the south coast for a while so I'm fairly psyched. Hope everyone has good next 9 days!

I asked this lady and her son (left) if I could take their picture. The guy in the blue T-shirt leapt in and hugged the lady in a gesture of spontaneous affection and fun. Called her "Mum", although he was just the next door stall-holder. Delightful people!

A lot more water racing to the ocean than in September.This image was taken at Hug Point State Park in Oregon with my trusty Mamiya RB67 fitted with a 50mm lens. Acros stand-developed in Pyrocat helped with the large contrast range.
